it's funny how you all think purin will be a 100% return, she may be likely because she was in the last 2 games but you can't deny the fact that in smash64 she was intended to be the handicap character (what pichu was in melee and he's everyones number 1 removed from the game 100% character) and sakurai considered getting rid of her when he made melee but decided not to in the end. He also considered replacing ness with lucas ;3
we haven't seen either ness or purin, so you can't say whether they're still in or out... at least not in a "they're DEFINITELY returning" sort of way

Purin: She wasn't half bad in 64, lots of easy quality combos, way better than Pichu was in Melee. I think she's likely considering her history with the series, but I wouldn't consider her a 100% return either.
Luigi: Good odds, it's hard to imagine Smash without Luigi and his odd movesets. I'd expect a return.
Ness: I wouldn't count him out, but he's looking much less likely with Lucas considered.
Captain Falcon: Will definitely be back. Samurai Goroh is pretty close to a confirmation, imo.
Marth: I personally think he's toast, but if not I won't want to main him again anyway.
Ridley: Probably going to happen, between the character poll popularity and villains like Bowser and King Dedede being playable.

Wavedashing has been removed from Brawl, at least in the demo. 90 Percent chance it's gone. But yes, he is swimming! I hear you can do that for a while, then you sink to the bottom and die.

It should replace dashing with marth.
It's how you implement the wavedashing into your playing style and mindgames, or no wavedashing at all..

I have a weird habit of wavedashing once I've KOed someone.
Though for me, the only general uses I find for my wavedashing to edgehog, or wavelanding.
Still, it's rare to see me use those techniques.
