My mother does not like most unusual insects of the animal kingdom. She also is afraid of grocery stores. When I asked her about it, she said, "Oh, I don't know... It's just weird. I don't like going in there."

Also, I have a weird fear about playing video games alone. Certain games like Bioshock, Silent Hill, or Dead Space seem to frighten me if I play them alone. I think, for some reason, that the enemies will come out of the TV and attack/scare me.

I guess I just don't like playing most video games alone.

Women are the best when it comes to phobias imo.

Camel spiders are worth being afraid of:

Also whoever said Australian spiders aren't poisonous has obviously never heard of 'Australian funnel web spiders, such as the Sydney funnel web spider Atrax robustus which are regarded as among the most dangerous in the world. They react vigorously to threats and, reputedly, will more often attempt to bite than run away. A. robustus, a large black spider, is found within a radius of about 100 km from Sydney. Its venom contains a compound known as atraxotoxin which is highly toxic to primates. Unlike the Brazilian wandering spider, which is alleged to occasionally deliver dry bites, these spiders typically deliver a full envenomation when they bite' (wikipedia)

Box Jellyfish are where it's at though. Touching one of those things can cause death in 3 minutes and you can't exactly spot them in the water.

Also worth fearing in Australia:

- Stone fish: poisonous, hard to spot etc
- Blue Ring Octopus: poisonous octopus 'nuff said
- Red Back Spider
- Brown Snake: death
- Tiger Snake: see above
- Salt Water Crocodiles
- Great White Shark

I could go on but you get the idea: this place is death and we're all awesome for being able to survive here.

Also huntsmen spiders may not be leathal but they're a pain in the arse to kill becacuse they're so big and ruin your shows when you crush them.

Cephalopods, horses, bush babies and eels are awesome! I'm sorry Lyth...
I hate bugs though, I respect spiders but fear them and have less of a problem with scorpions.
Also: Octopus is delicious. Yum

As for atypical fears...uh I'm very afraid of blindness, the mere mention or suggestion of myself going blind is enough to give me a very horrible panic attack. When I was younger I had a strange fear of someone pushing my face into a bowl of tainted blood...

The mimic octopus, Thaumoctopus mimicus, is a species of octopus that has a strong ability to mimic other creatures. It grows up to 60 cm (2 feet) in length. Its normal colouring consists of brown and white stripes or spots.

The octopus mimics the physical likeness and movements of more than fifteen different species, including sea snakes, lionfish, flatfish, brittle stars, giant crabs, sea shells, stingrays, flounders, jellyfish, sea anemones, and mantis shrimp. It accomplishes this by contorting its body and arms, and changing colour.

Many octopus species are extremely flexible. For example, one octopus the size of a volleyball can actually squeeze its entire body into a soft drink can.[3] If the mimic octopus has that flexibility, it would explain in part how it mimics other creatures.

Although all octopuses can change colour and texture, and many can blend with the sea floor, appearing as rocks, the mimic octopus is the first octopus species ever observed to impersonate other animals. (wiki)

I'm scared of chucky even today, so don't (please I'm begging you) put any chucky pictures on here. I'm also scared of sci-fi aliens coming to life, being alone in space, being in a room of pure white (not painted on: PURE), any form of crippling of myself, and the beady stare of a teddy bear that seems to follow you around the room.

I'm so boring. I fear everything that everyone else casually fears.

Tornadoes are probably the one thing that I'm simultaneously scared out of my mind of, while also being absolutely fascinated by.

Bush babies? But they're adorable..

I used to be terrified of alot of things. Dogs, the barnacles from Half-Life, ReDeads, Grey aliens, roaches, public bathrooms..

I can go on about it.

I probably should have said but that pic I posted was of a camel spider. They're in the desert in Iraq and many US soldiers have found them around (often in their beds too). Personally I'd rather be shot at then wake up to one of them.
