Well considering that he gets rid of any of his Pokemon as soon as they get good, I'd say he fails at Pokemon.

Seriously.

Butterfree: A few episodes after Metapod evolved, he let it fly off and mate with another Butterfree.
Pidgeot: In the same episode it evolves, he gets rid of it to protect other Pokemon.

I'm sure there are more, just can't think of them right now.
Plus, he got rid of Squirtle and Charizard. I'm SHOCKED that he hasn't gotten rid of Bulbasaur yet. I looked it up on Serebii the other day and...wow.

Hell, he even tried to get rid of Pikachu! I mean seriously, he's got to have some sort of dysfunctional brain.

Level 100? Nah. At this point, Pikachu's level has to be at somewhere OVER 9000!

But yeah, that's stupid. I beat the Elite Four!...But I can't beat the pathetic first Gym Leader of Sinnoh!

Also, does it ever annoy anyone how Pikachu somehow manages to damage Ground types?

In the Anime Ash will ****. His Pikachu is so godly that it hurts Ground types.

In the Games he will fail.

Though Pikachu must have steroids or Lance's dragonite was weak

Be warned, there's some language.

But yeah, there's a lot about Pikachu that makes no sense. It can beat ground types, it can have trouble against water types, it can beat a Dragonite, but it can't beat the first Gym Leader of each area every time.
