You're right. Tifa IS my favorite character from Final Fantasy.

I'm making her sooooooo beast right now on the current playthrough of FF7 with my friend. She's so bad ***. Love her limit breaks too xD

7 was an amazing experience for me

my order of fav chars was Tifa Cid Nanaki

order of leaders went Cloud>Tifa*OMG I get to have her be my main person and have Cid and Nanaki<8*>Cid*Wow did they just pick my next used char or something*

Btw, I can't believe you didn't like 9! The soundtrack was pretty good. Not as good as 7 imo, but still good. I loved the story, and the characters were pretty sick too. Zidane/Garnet/Vivi/Steiner is too broken

It lost points with me because of a saving error that made me stuck doing nothing for 2 hours a day for a month but I still Liked the story junction system and card game

9s music didnt sound as good as 8 to me either and the fact to color scheme was aweful pushed me away and the fact that the limits happened automatically(usually the fight before a boss) and changed you into an even worse color palette, just made me say it was bad, ya know

and Zidanes my favorite Main hero (I used him in Dissidia too then found out he was the best and felt cheap...still use him but feel a little bad about it)

I am such a FF addict. I have played and replayed pretty much all of the Final Fantasies, including the crystal chronicles and tactics.

The best by far is Final Fantasy 6. It was perfection in every meaning of the word. Cyan was also one of the best FF characters ever. Close behind number 6 is Tactics. Not Tactics Advanced, because that was garbage. Final Fantasy Tactics though is absolutely amazing, and I have replayed it a thousand times.

Final Fantasy 10 is also one of my personal favorites, because of the amazing plot and music in the game.

Final Fantasy 13 wasn't that bad to me. I mean, I can understand how disappointing the poor quality of the gameplay was, but it made up for it with the awesome character development, storyline, animations, and music.

The absolute worst final fantasies were Final Fantasy 10-2 (10 was amazing though), Final Fantasy Tactics Advanced, and Crystal Chronicles.

chrono trigger > any ff

this is almost true. Basically, chrono trigger > any 2d ff. Its too unfair to compare it to 7 and on.

But yeah, chrono trigger and earthbound are my favorite 2d rpgs. Although to be fair I never got far in ff6 and never played ff4 despite owning it.



My neighbor is currently playing through 10. I see him playing through his window when I pull into my parking spot every day lol

Ive never beaten CT....Ive never played as Magus

They gave me the option of fighting the big boss thats everywhere(afaik the final boss) and we literally were deadlocked in a fight for over an hour before I gave up and stopped playing. And while its a great game and one of the best of all time I think FF6 is still better then it in every way except for maybe the graphics

The only real way I can put CT above 6 is if you include the psx version of 6 which included cutscenes and whatnot...I only got 3 battles into it though because of load times, In a game where you grind it shouldnt take you longer to load the fight then it did to get into the fight...

The GBA version goes above all of them though because it was the original with extras

The Legend of Dragoon, who has played it?

The Legend of Dragoon is one of the best classic RPGs in history. Oh my gosh, the battle system was so creative and innovative for its time! It constantly made battles something to focus on instead of just mashing the attack button. It really messed with emotions too, especially when Lavitz died. Albert was still a boss though.

The storyline was fricking amazing too. I loved it right to the end. Don't even get me started on the final boss battle either. Gosh, if they did a remake of that game I would buy it in a heartbeat.

yes, some sort of a HD remake would be amazing. I heard a sequel was in the early planing stages at one point, but it was canceled for unannounced reasons, it would be great to get that sequel one day too.

LoD is one of the few RPG's I like, and is even one of my Top5 favorite games, loved everything about that game, I started to replay it about a year ago, I'm somewhere on the 3rd disc I believe, need to finish.

9 was absolutely amazing, and had such lovable characters, but its definitely not as good as FF6 or FF10. Though, raising chocobos in FF9 was the funnest side quest of any other FF side quest out there.

Anyone here play Xenogears? Now THAT game is definitely one of the best RPGs of all time.

Star Ocean til the end of time was absolutely amazing. However, have you played Star Ocean: The Second Story? That is the best Star Ocean game in the whole series. You need to get a copy and play it if you haven't.
