Aren't customs supposed to be getting tougher?

just spent three days in NZ
flying back
departure:
check in luggage wasnt scanned
take on luggage was scanned.

arriving.
they had a reallly ****tty cordon set up and i was directed to bypass all the x-ray machines and go straight into the airport departure/arrival lounge.
no luggage scanned/no body search

first time in years i havent been brushed down.

fail for australian customs IMO

Check in luggage actually gets scanned, but its in another section where you dont see.

I always get the randomly picked search people after scanning my carry on bags in lol. I must dress odd or something, =S. Or they think I'm carrying bombs XD

I always get randomly picked to get bomb scanned too, its annoying lol.
