i know that there is the gamebridge and a capture card but are there other ways i can record.

You could always use a DVD Recorder, and find a program to convert the VOB file to AVI using a program such as AutoGK.

You could use a digital camera. It works well, especially in a dark room.

u can use an archos or something that records tv....my friend has an archos but we havnt really tried it yet

You'd need a capture device, which kinda defeats the point

Ways to capture video that I know of:
- usb capture device (ala gamebridge or dazzle etc)
- capture card (you put it inside your comp; is probably the best option)
- analog to dv converter (outputs via firewire. This is what you'll probably need if you're using mac or linux, note that some camcorders have these build in)
- record the match onto a dvd and then put it on your computer
