Any Yoshi story characthers getting in ?

I mean, The only representative from it is.. well.. Yoshi.

What other (IMPORTANT) characthers there are from yoshi story ? Shy Guy is the generic enemy, so he shouldnt get in, I could see Waluigi (HEck, Even Daisy) fitting more, The elephant thing with a picker sign isn't important, and Cloud, Just, No.

Sooooo.....

Why they Didn't add him to the Mario Bros Rooster in first place ?

I'll say it's stupid, but I gotta say I don't think there are "any" worwhile characters in the Yoshi series other than probably Birdo, but I believe she isn't part of that series

I think they should have just given Yoshi a Mario symbol instead of his own. Sure he has his own games but hes still part of the Mario universe.

Donkey Kong actually has his own set of games that have nothing to do with Mario.

Really I don't know how Yoshi has his own icon... He doesn't even need it. Yoshi's Story is just one game, and not a very well received game at that. I don't know why Sakurai didn't just leave him with Mario. Yoshi is still very much a part of canon Mario games. He was in Sunshine, he was playable in Super Mario 64 DS (I know Wario was as well, but his games are still ongoing.), and he's (or more of Yoshi's in general) been in the Paper Mario series as well.

Whatever, that's my short little pointless rant over Yoshi having his own icon. I just think it's completely unnecessary.

Wario's games don't feature Mario in them. I know they have Mario CAMEOS, but he's not actually in them. It just doesn't really make sense to me. It's like giving Luigi an icon because he has Luigi's Mansion, or even giving Peach her own icon for Super Princess Peach.

Yoshi has represented enough games on his own (some helping mario and alot just having him in mario games for the heck of it). Yoshi earned his icon, while Luigi only represented I think one or two games by himself.
No one else really has enough popularity to be placed in SSBB regarding the popularity for other characters.

Well, yes, but Luigi is the undisputed star of Luigi's Mansion, isn't he? I agree with Bassoonist, it is kind of strange for Yoshi to have his own icon. Oh gee, I don't know. Maybe his own full fleshed series... Like Wario Ware. Wario Ware does not center around Mario characters or Mario enemies. It has it's own characters. The same goes for Donkey Kong.
