luigi's amazingness is pretty much still unknown in the tourny scene :( but heres an opportunity to get him some well deserved recognition! theres a big tourny in houston this saturday. this event has had anywhere from 60 to as many as 120 attend! m2k azen dojo, roy_r are just some of the people who have come here in the past. while im not sure if those specific players will be here this time, im sure there will be top talent. anyway, i have yet to see a luigi player crack the top 60 in results here! so thats why im finally gonna go. i know theres some luigi players in OK and some in texas and am wondering if any of you would like to come down with me and rep the man in green? lets go!!!

I have Luigi as a second but I'm not very good with him.
I mainly just go all Wario.
Unfortunately I can't come to this HOBO 'cause I have rehearsal on Saturday from 1:00 to 4:00.
:(

If you come to the next one I would definitely like to get some friendlies with you. :)
Luigi dittos are muchos fun.

Yes, all organized by my brother and I, mostly the turnout is my American friends. Maybe 20+ people. They are pretty fun, they get quite intense too!

Tourney one finals: Mario vs. Link (me): Me vs my brother-- Winner: Link
Tourney two finals: Mario vs. Link: Me vs My brother-- Winner: Link
Tourney three finals: G&W vs. Luigi (me): Me vs my friend-- Winner: Luigi

I'm 3-0 in my tourney career!

Well this summer I'll be in North Carolina, DC, New Orleans, Florida, and around the east coast. I don't really have means of any long distance travel but in DC I might go to a tourney with my friend... I only have played competitive Brawl for a few months.
There is a chance it can work out, but I don't think in Texas

Well be ready to get ***** kig if you do. Playing is a small community is soo much different than a real tournament. I found this out the hard way my first time, but once you start playing against people better than yourself you get better so much faster its rediculous. First tourney I did I got like almost last place, then I got 17th, then I got 5th. You should stop by Eastern Washington on your trip O_O

Hobos are monthlies. This upcoming Hobo won't be as big and will probably be on the easy side because quite a few key players won't be able to make it. There should be a huge national Hobo sometime in April.

And we used to have a pretty amazing Luigi player in Houston before he decided to quit. :)

Who was the amazing Luigi player who quit? I'm curious.

Anyway hippie you live in new york, whats your excuse to not go to a tourney? You can't really get better at this game if you don't. Plus they're amazingly fun, and you get to meet all the cool people from smashboards and youtube =p Go to Chu's biweeklies. You will get better than all of us fast just by playing against those guys.

Oh, he wasn't national-level good. Just really well known in Houston. He quit Brawl for Melee. Real shame too, he was good. :)

Yes it is. The melee community blows right now and all it does is detract from the brawl community. Melee was fun, but it will never be the same. Sorry :(

I am actually really good, I will send you my replays but I need to at least see you online to do that to confirm the registration. I would have trouble moving in to the tourney circuit it is gonna be hard, but it is a possibility I might play in a brawl tourney in Washington... But tht is a looong way off

I wish I could go to out of state tourneys...

At least there's a really big statewide tournament today. Last one we had got 78 people, hopefully things go well
