Any female Marthers out there?

I wanna make it clear beforehand that I am a guy. I was just curious as to why I don't know any girls who use marth. I have asked a couple of my friends that i know and they say they don't use him (they stick with the sterotypical peach, sheik, and samus). Since smashboards doesnt' ask for your gender, I just wanted to know if any girls on this site, or or one you know, uses marth.

P.S. If you don't know anyone and u noticed the same thing, feel free to say so.

I like to think I'm good. I was much better in Melee though since I had plenty of time to master his range. I took a break from Brawl for about 2 weeks and I've for some reason been trying to use Marth's Melee range in Brawl. So obviously I've got some practicing to do. But I'm not too bad with Brawl Marth.

Marth is hard. He takes skill to use. You can't just "button mash" as him, you gotta size up the situation and what not. I'm pretty sure I chose Marth cuz he is a bishie though. It is kinda surprising that more girls don't use him for that reason.

When i ask a question, it is because i am looking for information. Maybe its not important to u whether or not any girls use marth (maybe it isn't important @ all). But think of all the useless pieces of information that you have asked for in your life (why is the sky blue?, if a tree falls in the forest...,etc.). I was curious and just wanted to know. I asked myself "Self, why don't any girls use marth. Every noob that loses to him seems to think hes gay and looks like a girl (Iono what kind of girls they have been looking at)) Maybe i should post a thread to see if any girls actually do use marth." Therefore, yes there was a point to this thread, u weren't intelligent enuff to see it (or read the beginning of the thread). I gave to 2 reasons for people to post, and you have neither of them. Do you really want people who destroy u on the regular basis with marth to be able to say that u lost to a homo? Even if he was gay(btw he isn't, he won't go out with you guys so get over it) , he is still a great character. He isn't cheap in any way, and it takes lots of practice to get good with him. Bash his tiara, his cape, even his hair all you want. In the end he'll dunk you to your doom or wipe your lifeless carcass of the stage without breaking a sweat. When you're the prince of a kingdom with an army you built from the ground up from your victims, you can look and dress however you want.

lag isn't usually predictable by distance. chances are traffic will be routed to somewhere out of the way anyway. if i IM my buddy next door, it'll probably go through san jose before coming back here. there's really no way to predict where things will go.

international probably would have more lag though because of choke points. but over the mainland US, it could go anywhere.

Marth is definitely a Bishie...I'm a guy and I'm definitely straight, and even I can admit that he's pretty. Personally I play him because I love the spikes and his play style and move set are graceful, I guess it's just too bad that I'm not very good with him. Normally, I play characters based off of their models and their move sets more so then their tier listings, so I guess it makes sense for me to play a character I'm not good at just because I like their model. In Melee I started playing Sheik for one reason...she's a ninja; it just so happened she was one of the best characters in the game, but I was oblivious to that for like 2 years.

...so who won between you and Backlash? (Backlash you may also answer this question if you wish)

Part of my goal for posting this thread was to dispel the myth that girls suck at brawl (and/videosgames in general). I saw two girls at a tournament before and they got pretty far int the tournament. Anyways back to the topic, which is pretty contorted now. Marth does seem to attract a lot of girls probably because of his tiara and his swishy cape which leads many people to say Marth is gay. My response to that is to beat them using him then say "You just got ***** by a homo."
