Why on Earth does Omniswell keep trying to smash you when you transform to Zelda after losing a stock? You think people would learn by now that you still have invincibility frames. Tomorrow i'll edit this post and rate some of your vids, I honestly hadn't seen this thread until today.

Are you trying to solo Sheik, or go the Sheik/Zelda way? Because on the rare occasion you do transform, it becomes clear that your Zelda gameplay is not near your Sheik's, a fact which Mikey seems to take full advantage of. Hell, even if you're trying not to use Zelda, learn her anyway, because she can be a useful trump card.

A lot of times it seemed like you were Glide Vanishing just to do it, especially in the sets vs. Mikey. Only do that when you think you'll hit. I realize that Peach can be kind of hard to predict in the air, and also that these are friendlies so you were more likely just practicing, but it's something to keep in mind. Same goes for Omni's Boost Smashes, though I guess that doesn't really apply to you.

Also, why so many Dairs in the Mikey set? Just to be unpredictable? I know the first time you Dair'd (onto a platform above Peach), he could've punished you. He didn't react quickly enough, but it definitely put you in a precarious situation for the lagtime.

Only a few criticisms that I noticed. You're still hella good.

Thanks, I should get one soon then. I dont know how but ive been getting better at exploiting people openings with grabs or tilt locks if im lucky. I geuss techs are not nessisary for sheik (i've been winning and playing with more emphasis on the basics) I'll check out the videos.

Edit after watching: Pretty nice. I have a sence of how to fight ICs now. I loled so hard at that D3 vs. marth match xD 2 stock best of 5 is the way to go. Its perfect for saving replays and uploading larger quantities of videos quicker ^_^

I need to get the sheild sliding thing down to perfection. (I noticed you did that alot) Projectile have been annoying me lately. I noticed its a good approach method for campers/projectile spammers in most cases. Especially since I can grab out of it ^_^ thats assuming i get close enough.

Shield sliding? Do you mean, like, the shield dash I do? If so, then yes, Sheik's dash opening frames are really short, which lets you shield almost immediately after dashing (unlike Marth). For best results you need to get the timing down to powershield the hits, though it doesn't really matter against projectiles.

Ankoku I really appreciate all the work you put into this board and that your one of the few who has the capability to get some good Sheik vids on here, I would but I don't have any of the equipment. Just wanted to get that off my chest though

. These new sets you have were really enjoyable to watch. The only thing I would do differently against Falco though is not gimping his phantasm. A couple times you were too aggressive offstage and he ended up spiking you with it. I would only go off against Falco if he's using his fire recovery.

Could I request that maybe you play some good DDD,Marth,Wario,Olimar, G&W players. There aren't many vids of Sheik against these characters out there.

Ehh, all I do is drive around and play with three people, pretty much. Tournaments are pretty scarce now that school's started up again, and my three friends play Falco, Wolf/Ice Climbers, and Yoshi. Yeah, here in the Midwest we've got players representing every single character on the roster, but as a result it's hard to find the high tiers. -_-

Dying to Phantasm is a risk I'm willing to take. ^_^

Ya thats what I meant. Thanks, I've been working on my power-sheilding so this should work well.

The MK matchup isn't fun, so I just go Marth even though the matchup for both of them is more or less the same difficulty-wise...

Keep in mind that Zelda's usmash can KO Meta Knight extremely early, like 80-ish% before the hit (correct me if I'm wrong, Ryoko), try to go for long, flat stages with plenty of moving space like Pokémon Stadium and Final Destination, Needles to punish any low Tornados from far away, and camp a lot. If you're good at DACUS, you can do the grab release (jump) to DACUS double hit usmash, I guess, but otherwise grab release will let you combo into a dash attack or Needle Storm. You're going to be stuck on the initiative a lot when approaching, especially since Meta Knight has a lot of attacks that are simply unpunishable from your shield if he spaces well, so be careful with those. ftilt out of shield outranges your shieldgrab and Meta Knight can be ftiltlocked to a limited degree, so abuse this if he does something stupid but is still out of grab range. Do NOT spotdodge near a Meta Knight. He will punish you with a dsmash. Kill ground approaches with Chain, but retract it if he starts coming from the air, unless you're good with the Chain, because otherwise he can hit you out of it with a well-spaced dair.
