ya thats known, but the older way to do it really only works for those 2 enough to use it. With the newer way any1 can do it to where it can be to a degree useful.

Wait.... angelic step only works for Pit and Ganondorf because their dodges move them back a little bit right? So when you pivot slide right afterwards it moves them farther. I think that's the old way.... What's the new way?

anyways the angelic step is hard to apply on battle. Its best done when ur kidn aclose and ur opponent either uses a long range attack such as a missile, graple, hookshot, arrow, laser, etc. that way ads the opponent recovers from the assault, you'll be moving right in front of him.

Other way it'll probably help as a mind game, nothing else.

GAH! I'm going to go INSANE from all of the confusion on YouTube, Smashboards, and the World for that matter on this subject.

Alright folks, here we go again:

The Angelic Step is simply a Pivot Slide buffered from a SlideStep. Buffering a Pivot Slide from a SlideStep gives the Pivot Slide more range and more initial speed. The SlideStep can only be done by two characters, Pit and Ganondorf. Ganondorf's is weak as all get-out however.

The terms for this have been accepted as the "Angelic Step" for Pit. And the "Demonic Step" for Ganondorf. It's simply coincidence that it worked out this way.
