Pit's viable w/o mk being this game : S Unless of course we start using the Japanese stage list here in the States, then he has more of a shot.

Not true, MK being out of the game is the easy way out. Pit can definitely handle MK, but I must say it is an up-hill battle.

@ Nitrix

Pit is very viable. Echoing what Luckay said, he is viable in the hands of smart players such as Masashi who is really the top level Pit, and the Pit that everyone should be striving to be. I've been getting a lot better lately, I have no clue why--it has to be God giving me a greater ability. Big Lou's tournament will be the test, but since I've been playing this game for God's glory and sharing scripts w/ smashers, my skill has improved dramatically.

so i realized today that if i studied my own character's moveset and capabilities as much as i study every other character in the game trying to learn about them, i will improve my skill level with pit greater than or equal to my current knowledge level of other characters. i know so much (almost everything honestly) about snake, mk, marth, flack-oh, diddy, all the way down to characters like wolf, luigi, link.

but i never have studied pit as in depth as i have others. so i am done studying others and am really gonna start focusing on PIT'S move application and develop my knowledge of his spacing and zonig to a far greater degree. this is definately going to be the key to my success when i get to go mega aggro next time i go to sync's house. so when i make a move analysis thread, i expect every one on these boards to participate as this will open all of us up to different aspects and opinions on our own main.

Pit: One of the greatest Heroes of our time
I heavily agree with Lenus' statement on Arrow usage. Pit's do need to use Pit's Arrows to their fullest potential, as they are (in my opinion) an essential part of his play style. I think Yass' Pit has been showing a great way to use Pit's Arrows in a fight.

I do agree that while Pit's Arrows should be used more, that doesn't mean we should forget about CQC, as it is Pit's main way of pushing people away and wracking up damage.

Hopefully, one day, Pit mains will find an equilibrium between the two and start showing his true potential ^__^. I hope I'll be able to contribute to it too. I believe that we'll get there as long as we keep working towards this goal.
