Well, I recently found a cool spike (nothing new, just new to me)

If you hit >B >B vB you will stab the ground at an angle. This is a strong spike, and is often unexpected, and it is good because you get a combo into it....

So, comments, does anyone use this?

Why is the Dair better/worse...

I have seen ken use this, so I decided to try it,

A lot of people are aware of this move, but unfortunatly it's not that great. You can easily get hit by the first two hits and use them to DI out of the third (the spike). Even worse, it's not a true spike it's a meteor smash. You can just jump or up B to stop yourself from going down at low percents. At higher percents you can meteor cancel it by jumping or using up B right before the move hits you. You'll end up getting hit but then immediatly recover. The dair is a true spike that cannot be meteor canceled and it's fast. It's not nearly as hard to land as a side B spike so it's much perfered.

lol, its cool as a "show off move", especially when you are up a stock, but otherwise, its used rarely... it has uses, but the dair, is overall much better

I've seen Kizzu use it once in his combo vid. But I have never done it because my fingers always get mixed up.

I use this sometimes if a character such as a link/y.link or a samus edge grapples, and then I have learned the time it normally takes people to get back to the edge, and try and work it so the Down B hit in the Combo will hit them, and not the other two.

Also, if you hit them with the second across B in the combo, it may hit them upwards depending on their percentage/weight, which you can then short hop and dair them off the stage.

I rarely use this move, but it does have a few uses.

That move is very situation, and it can be meteor canceled, why would you use it? I actually have used to to do flashy combo's on the ground. If your opponent doesn't tech it,it's **** city.

But seriously,Marths Dair is way better,it can't be canceled.

I think this move is one of those "switch it up" moves. Most of the time people use the combo for the >B, >B, >B, >B for the power strikes and use the dair for spiking. A well-timed >\/B could prove effective if they don't see it coming.

i would say the only time i try the meteor is when the opponent is below the edge coming up and he's too low to jump down and dair. then again i haven't been playing smash as much since i got devil may cry and god of war
