Ah, FINALLY!
I finally got Dedede and Shulk! I ordered them roughly a week ago and they arrived today!
Already Have Megaman and Sonic now.

So I acquired my first duplicate amiibo today. Had a SMB Bowser reserved at a Future Shop, which I went to pick up today. At the same time I saw that he was in stock online on Best Buy's website. I ordered one on Best Buy just in case Future Shop sold my reserve, with the intention to cancel the Best Buy order if I was able to get the one from Future Shop without any problems.

Future Shop gave me no issues and when I got back, I saw that Best Buy had shipped my order already. So now I don't know what to do with the one I'll be receiving tomorrow in the mail. I'm not sure if he'll be good trade bait since it looks like stores are starting to get shipments of him now.

That wouldn't be all bad...if Nintendo actually gave the Smash Amiibos a concrete release date (or produced more later). If there was a reasonably reliable date, like for most game launches, I would just take the day off and wait at a store. Since there isn't, without a reserve, I'd have no (well, low) chance of getting a Robin Amiibo as I have no way of just dropping everything to rush out to a store when they finally release with working full time (unless they get a weekend launch of course).

I think a simple bookcase should do the trick if you were looking for something reasonable.

I'd recommend just making your own. Use a section of a bookshelf you have. Get a piece of flat wood (shorter in length than the shelves, but the same width), some screws, and a drill. Drill the wood into the the bookshelf. This will make an extra top part of the case.Then just get some glass-paneling to fit, put that on the opening, and there you go.

You might need a bit of professional help if you want to go with real glass, but it's not really something you can do inexperienced. You could always just go with a bit of sturdy clear plastic. (Like the kind on the amiibo boxes.)

I don't think I'm good enough to risk painting my amiibos but what do you guys think of these? It's just my amiibos with an accessory or friend.

The other is if they are not on the top shelf, you wouldn't be able to see the ones if they were behind others, so basically everyone is lined up in the front of each row. A glass case would solve that better.

Really the only two that were out of the ordinary were Marth and Villager. I can't really complain there.

Sorry to spoil your hopes, but 2 months doesn't mean jack. Marth and Villager got 2 months. Also, it could just mean that they were produced from Decenber 27-January 2nd, not 2 full months.

Apparently, they're all still available at Raru, which is a South African retailer. I'm highly skeptical though, so I'm not taking my chances with them.

The site itself is fine, as any scam-detection sites I've checked it through turn up clean, but I have no idea whether they'd ship to NA and at what cost.

Oh, and if anybody's been watching the Wave 4 amiibo listings on Newegg, they've all been removed a couple days ago (on 3/24 to be exact). Wonder if that's telling of anything, or if Newegg just decided they can't take the risk on a new market with Nintendo being coy about stock.

Dang it I did it again! Was at Target to pick up Expand Dong Donkey Kong (picking up commons one at a time at an every now and then pace) and I saw a single Sheik there.

Now, I wasn't planning to pick up a Sheik, like, ever. But I was unsure of her rarity, so I snatched it up. Sure enough, just like what I discovered with Diddy when I bought him on first sight under the assumption of rarity, she isn't that rare at all. Not everywhere as Diddy turned out to be, a little more on the uncommon side, but still.

I told an acquaintance recently that my brother, just after Christmas, exchanged his Link amiibo for Rosalina.

He was quite impressed.

In my experience, stores 'round here are pretty much like any other store: they get a decent amount of amiibo, but it's mostly the popular characters that stick around. You'll always see Mario and Link lounging around, but there's a fairly limited stock of Pit and Marth.

Got my Lucina and Robin amiibo preordered, should be here sometime at the end of April~

That's weird... I've been seeing Sheik around a lot at Targets specifically, meanwhile TRU and Game Stop always seem well stocked on Sonic and Mega Man - but the inverse can't be said about either. It kind of sounds like certain amiibos are more common at specific retailers.

Sheik, along with Ike, is the most common of the Wave 3 Amiibos in Ireland, it would seem. They're still everywhere. Bowser and Toon Link are more akin to being uncommon here.

Yay! I got Gold Mario today! My boyfriend also got one today! Now my Mario series amiibo collection is complete unlike my Smash series amiibo collection.

Maybe it's just me, but since you don't find a lot of Kid Icarus, Earthbound or Fire Emblem merchandise, there Amiibo tend to be a lot rarer. Or maybe I'm just talking nonsense since that doesn't explain Villager's rarity.

welcome to the club and yes that theory is commonly accepted and thats why mario and zelda charcters are everwhere (not counting all the exclusives)
