Amherst Massachusetts Tournament???

Hello there~

My boyfriend and I were thinking of holding a Brawl tournament and/or smashfest with results in the huge basement of our house, but before we made an official tournament listing post I decided it would be best to get a rough tally of how many people might show up.

Date: November 22nd (The saturday before Thanksgiving week)

Location: Amherst Massachusetts

Type of Tourney: Singles, Doubles (standard rules...) and friendlies of course

Entry Fee: Still undecided, but probably $5 for singles/doubles

Food/Drinks: I'm thinkin' free foods.

Prize Money: We are fine with taking a vote if it should be winner take all, or divided between 1st 2nd and 3rd place.

Everthing here is essentially changeable. I just want to see how many people would be interested! Comments or suggestions are appreciated.

It is like 2 hours away from Boston. Maybe more.

I know waaay too many people at Amherst. Another excuse to go drive down there.

You know, **** it. I don't need excuses to go to Amherst. It's freaking Amherst. Waaay too many parties out there. I might stop by later.

it aint too bad from boston area 1 1/2 - 2 hours. I usually make it down in an hour and a half and im a little north of boston

The house is quite cool. We have air conditioning throughout the house.

The basement is as big as my entire house, and...well...my house is quite large. The basement is very empty as well. Lots of room for TVs, Wiis, tables, and especially people.

I would hope that some of the people from the last tourney would show up too...but people seem lazy.

I'm there! You should edit and tell whether this is a brawl tourney or not, Some people might be curious.

BTW I vote that prizes should be split not just 1st place (because that wont be me and I love money...)

Well, if it's easily accesible w/o using a car then I'll be able to come. If someone can give me a ride even better.

Edit: I'll be sure to bring my Kirby friend as well and hopefully, other people.
