Hey the c stick is closer to the jump button! I can dacus with c stick and zr! Hmm more buttons=better opportunity for faster imput speed. I am okay with this controller. I will just have to practise a bit with this.
It's not as big of a leap as it was from GC to the Wiimote/Nunchuck.
I've used mine for Windwaker HD.
It took a bit to get completely comfortable with it like I was when I played it for GC, but once I got comfortable with it I really enjoyed it.
It's not like everyone jumped from the N64 controller to the GC controller and played flawlessly.
It took time to master the controller to get to where you are today.
Wii U Pro is a fantastic controller, and it should take no time to get used to it.
I am not a tournament player so I don't speak for you guys, but I can assume you're not all just going to jump right into a huge tournament as soon as 4 comes out. You'll take the time to get comfortable with it, unlock everything, and find your favourite character. And then jump into a tournament.
And using a different controller helps to separate the games.
If you're using a GC controller you'll already have the feel of Melee burned into your memory. So you'll want to start doing things in Melee which you cannot do in the new Smash. That happened with me and Brawl. I hated the GC controller for it so got used to the Wiimote/nunchuck.
Different controllers help separate the games. If you always use the same controller, you're always going to want to play the same way. How can you grow and adapt with a new game when you're constantly thinking about the past?
Isn't the whole point of Smash Bros to adapt to changes around you and find a way to overcome it?
