Albuquerque, NM Monthlies [Discussing Next Monthly]

How are my albuquerque friends doing? Well I am moving back to Albuquerque within a week or two. I already have an apartment and cannot wait to play you guys.
I did not read every post in this thread however I think banning Snake and MK would not be wise. They are good but we cannot let the first two shining characters of the game be demonized by the communities lack of tactical abilities. I do see how in shortsight they may seem overwhelming but as intelligent gamers you have to adapt and be extremely patient. Brandon said all you have to do is learn "their" patterns. Hopefully he meant the player and not the character. Be concerned with your opponent moreso than his or her character. In other words I always try to anticipate my opponents "style" and its influence on the character.
I also say this because I main MK. haha. Luigi is great too.
So the monthly will be the 18th? Count me in.

I'm thinking they were being sarcastic on that post. If not then...they should have been sarcastic. Banning characters is a stupid idea.
Also, power rankings won't be up until the next tourney or after, simply because there have been to few tourneys and with Brawl being a new game, well...we're just giving people a chance to do start off well. I think that PR's will be up after the July tournament though. Which, by the way, there really needs to be a thread for by now, and also a flier. *CoughcoughDaviscoughcough*

Yeah we had one brawl tourney here in farmington. I took first, but the guy I played in the finals played Snake and I had never expected snake to be that freakin amazing. I will try to get as many people from Ftown to go to this.
