You're not arguing your position with facts, instead you (And matt) have repeatedly said "You're wrong you're wrong you're wrong" without supporting it. It's flimsy.
Anyway, we all come from different backgrounds and opinions, but the reason we are here is to break down those walls because we all enjoy a video game called smash bros. This debate does need to rest as neither position seems to be changing. I think I can make my way over to Matt's. Who's with me?
I agree with the latter part of the post and I'd love to. But I haven't been getting much sleep lately (6 hours last night, 4 the night before that and 2 the night before that) so im aiming to get a solid 8 this time. Also with all the school ive been doing has getting me stressed out; I haven't been in the best of moods lately.

about the first part of this post: i having been paying attention to whats been said you guys type too **** much.

I disagree with the statement that 'everyone deserves a chance'. You can surely get to know someone, but if you don't experience any particular attraction to them, why would you be dating them---to boost their ego? So that you don't have to be alone for the time being? It would only hurt them in the end, wouldn't it? Dating is a gamble anyway because you often rush in without getting to know the other person all that well. It seems more cruel to date someone just to get their hopes up, because they will think it's something serious and you won't. Good luck being friends with the person after that, I'd imagine.

to answer ur question. when one person asks another out it ussually means, hey i like you, however i dont know much about you, so lets find out through a series of meetings where we can find out wether or not we're compatible in a relationship. if we so happen to be, then awesome. if not then sure friends will work. also no, you dont get to know another person. theres somethings i want to keep to myself, and i have done so successfully.

in any case, being serious is hard work, with my lack of sleep and ridiculous amounts of tests, my brainpower is exhausted. check yall in like... a couple months. later dudes

I could argue a point if I were in messenger but I feel that if I posted opinions here different people would take it the wrong way or not understand my main point and what exactly I'm complaining about.

Anyways where the hell is Jason?

@Fang: Unfortunately, in today's society, it seems that when someone asks someone else on a date, they take it to mean the other person will automatically become their boyfriend/girlfriend.

ugh why is this stuff even being discussed on a smash forum

@james, ur doing the same thing. and in american literature theres something called reasing in between the lines. please read our posts again and get back to us
This comes from someone who says SCIENCE is wrong compared to what you're saying. I'm arguing using fact.

FACT: Variables affect your emotions and desires relative to your genes and whatever it is you're made of.

FACT: Unless there is a reason for performing an action, you're not going to do it. I'm not talking about a practical reason, but a chemical drive that says "I want to perform said action".

FACT: These chemicals and electrical impulses that govern your actions ARE AFFECTED BY THE LAWS OF PHYSICS.

This means physics affect your chemicals affect your impulses affect your actions.

Don't condescend me.

From now on I hate anyone named zuljibab regardless of their personality, stature, looks, or anything else. I do this of my own free will, because I want to. Sure I have genes that tell me I want to prove a point, but I could literally change myself by tomorrow into a different personality if I suddenly wanted to.

This post is made of fail...

You only want to ("Suddenly", I laughed SOOOOO hard at this) based on a drive produced by chemicals stimulated by me challenging your belief in free will, which is somethin you, for some reason desperately cling to (and before you say "You don't know anything about me, I don't cling to it at all, I'm just arguing a point" the fact that against such evidence, you still argue makes it evident that it does hold value to you, that or some misplaced need to be right.) this debate.

cuz ur not on msn, and i have limited text messages.

@james, physics and chemistry are how you do it, not why and what. i say that i choose to do things because i want to do it. if matt can change his mind that easily, thats proof that its free will

Also, I'd love to see you change your genetic makeup in order to change the way variables affect you. Just remember that I caused your brain to produce the "Sudden" (Lol) desire to do it.

Those drives exist, thats a given. But they don't control our thoughts directly. Instead they influence our decisions. I mean, of course genes guide us to do certain things over others, but they do not have control over our conscious and unconscious thought. Psychology is a hobby of mine and I happen to know what I'm talking about.

And you realize that "sudden" and "suddenly" are both spelled correctly right? I'm assuming that's what your laughing at.

you didnt make hin do anything, it was his choice to post what he wanted. what you're doing is randomly falcon punching and when someone eventually gets hit, you go "ha, i made you run into that"

Genes don't affect your actions they just determine how the variables in the air, in my voice, in the little quirks and beauties that make the world what it is affect what you do. These variables do produce drives and those do govern your actions. A single notion or thought doesn't go through your head unaccompanied. It comes with a billion other thoughts and impulses and the stronger ones manifest themselves as whatever you happen to be.

Also, psychology is just a means of determining how those variables affect you and why, so I'd assume generally you'd be with me here.

so guys im going to talk about smash-things

how come no one uses downsmash to edgeguard against fox+falco over-b
its soooo good
even if they sweetspot it hits them
even if they aim it to your head
THE DOWNSMASH WILL STILL HIT THEM ITS AMAZING
^ james knows what im talking about

this is assuming you are fox/falco and they are fox/falco

and like if they are at a low percent and don't die to the downsmash
they will have to upB right next to the stage, which is an ez shinespike (or down air for falco)
if they tech it u can react to it and hit em off again, so its good to always expect a tech.

regardless of wether or not some impulses are bigger, i still take every option into consideration. and i CHOOSE the option which will help me accomplish my goals the fastest.

Interesting concept, then, when a group of people who value free will ALL WITHOUT FAIL (But maybe until they read the text in caps) jump on the person "randomly falcon punching".

Also, apparently I falcon punch with EXTREME accuracy.

you just proves us right. to have free will is the ability to choose. and some poeple chose to do that, there are others here who believe in free will and didnt jump in.

check my edited post james
also ya with all this talk of falcon punching, I have to describe an amazing one I pulled off on James.

I hit him off the stage (dreamland) on his last stock. He knew he wasn't going to make it back but he up-b'd towards the stage anyways (hes fox). I ran across the stage and pulled a reverse falcon punch out of my ***. At this point I had paused the game and looked over at James and said "WHERES THE TECH, BRO", paused it and launched him at 200% into the side of Dreamland, rebounding and plummeted into his instant death.

matt: thats cool, next time we smash ill do some brawl+ and check that out

brad: win post is win

This is the point when someone realizes that there is no magic center in their brain, but that they will now define free will as the ability to act on whatever impulses they experience. As you'll note in an earlier post, I already covered, I have no arguement for that. I believe in it, the fact that we're autonomous suggests it. What I don't believe in is that people seem to believe that they are in complete control of their actions and these desires. I have no argument against Daemonfang at this point, though if anyone does think that they have any control over these variables or how they affect us, they might do with a physics lesson.

In the end the universe, mathematics, every physical interaction that has happened since the big bang is ultimately governing our actions.

Also, who wants to see a movie tonight?

That only works if you actually understand the science your going by and not just repeating stereotypical things you probably heard on some movie or TV.
Your just spouting random things that you heard from someone else, not informed data.

whatever dude.

i wish i could say something to back you up, james. but i have nothing to add.

you know how to express it much more complexly then I do.

good stuff.

kick your *** with science. YAYYYYUHHHZZZZ

we need Merek here. he'd show you what's up.

also, I had this REALLY NASTY dream last night

where Mason killed himself. but whatever, man.

and I don't really watch TV or movies often.

I got my facts from BOOKS, man.

it all began with a lovely little essay called "what is man"

by Mark Twain. he knew what was up. that guy was BOSS.

on OUR side there is Merek, Mames, and I. and probably that Ender moderator guy too, if he knows whats up.

who do you think you're messing with bro? HUH?

whatever.

@MALEB

as far as I'm concerned, just play like Mango and you'll do fine. If you play Peach, be like Armada. YEAH

Mike why be mad at Kira, the video she posted is funny BECAUSE it's sad and true, no need to lash out at her like that.

Also isn't that scene from a Godzilla Movie?

Maybe ghosts are scary? Also, I didn't draw that picture. Found it in a video game mind**** thread like these.
