today, some chick asked me if i needed help... i sure you all know my response quite well...

well, reposting tournament info

$5 dollar entree fee for melee. (and maybe brawl and SSF4 if theres enough interest.)

Standard rules

people can start arriving as early as like 1. but the tournament itself wont start till like 3.

it would be cool if everyone would bring a setup. and food...

HEY DAN

you're really sick. like cool, I mean.

good games INDEED.

I was impressed, mainly with your Snake you know, but you know that.

You without a doubt know how to play the game. You're guite possibly a contender for top five up here.

but as I said, I'm wondering how you'll fare against the other dudes. Different playstyles, you know.

And there is someone else? More competition lolz!
Thanks man. Your King DDD really surprised me. I gotta figure out how to get the better of that guy. We'll have to play again soon.

LOL at the "tournament"

oh well, at least I absolutely WRECKED james 5-0 in our money match, and AGAIN at dereks house in another money match

but seriously, im proud of james for stepping it up and doing it, the improvement there is obvious. later at dereks, he was holding his own against derek and took a couple games off of him.

not to mention he pretty much wrecked me at blazblue, so much for not knowing anything about the game. anyways, probably going to get more into blazblue than street fighter, theres a few more people interested in the game now and especially with console release a month away (and it came out today in japan)

danmcdonald - play melee. ill play you in brawl i guess but seriously.. melee > brawl kthxbai

Being proud of beating Drox at smash right now or thinking it has any meaning would be kind of like Yunghove feeling great for doing so well against him in Street Fighter recently. The guy plays the game like what, once a month or less? It doesn't mean anything. Step off it. Same goes for thinking that winning against you means anything. In BlazBlue, I mean.

I just did well against this dude that used to be god tier in this game for an alaskan but is now not-so-god tier!

YEEEEEEEEE HAAWWWWWW

Regardless, it's good to see there were a few people that seemed like they dug BlazBlue. Well, it's too bad John and Highlander will probably not get into it since well, it's them, because they have a background with fighting games, but ah. What can you do. Street Fighter is where it's at I guess.

@ Dan
And Dan. Don't pay any mind to stupid bias people have against Brawl. I don't know if you experienced a lot of that at Mike's or whatever, but just play whatever you like better.

Although now that I think upon it again there's probably more people that are into Melee up here then Brawl. That will do gatherings and stuff I mean. Funnily enough you'll probably see more people at a Brawl tournament though. Lol.

So I guess if you're going to base what you play solely by the numbers, go with Melee for more consistent play. Brawl for more tournaments but less games lol.

I'm guessing playing dudes at the tournament opened up your eyes to what competition is like in Brawl? I assume you've had your share of losses to people at Mike's that probably looked like they were better then me.

well, even though there was no tournament, the smashfest was cool. and my mom didnt mind at all, so ya, id say we're gonna need to do that more often, so ima start doing this weekly, monday at my house in my garage. hopefully we can make it so that eventually thered be more than just smash there, wanna get some BB and SF in there as well.

Daemonfang's Log

11:30 - Analysis: Subject #1 terminated by destruction of cord, as if chewed through by a small rodent. body and parts are in good condition, just minor wear and tear. Markings in blue make it apparent that it belonged to one Che_Lab.

Subject #2 is a blue controller, has not been used in years, officially retired from service in the Alaskan smash community back in 2008. It has been kept for nostalgic purposes.

Experiment: Bring life back into Subject #1.

Method: Switching out the cords of both subjects.

11:45 - All tools assembled, and operation table prepared. Making 1st incision...

12:00 - Both subjects has been disassembled accordingly, performing the transplant now...

12:10 - Transplant performed, correct fit, beginning to close up now...

12:25 - Subject #1 has been properly reassembled, while subject #2 did not survive the operation and has been properly disposed of. Proceeding to test Subject #1...

12:35 - Operation is a sucess! Subject #1 has been fully revived and back to its normal functions!

Conclusion: Che_lab's controller has been brought back to life at the cost of another. Though heinous as this fact may be, some sacrifices must be made for the greater good. This ends my operation. Daemonfang out...

I'm going to try to make it into town Thursday, I get back tomorrow night. I'm going to start playing Brawl more I can explain why in person. Would also like to play Blazblue but I can never seem to get to actually PLAY it anywhere. I think I got a bit better at Melee while down here too.

@ the blazblue thing, anyone who has a decent enough computer can run blazblue, not to mention its coming out on console in a month, and im fairly confident in saying that it will have a decent amount of people interested up here, so im sure you will find places to play it

Chaotic Good characters always get manipulated one way or another, because since they write their own justice, it's easy to trick them into thinking they're doing something that's in their right, when really, it's not. Perfect example as seen in Anakin being worked like a wind-up toy by Palpatine.

And now I imagine Mike is going to say something unintelligent to try and disprove this fact.

1st off he prolly didnt read that whole thing. 2nd. wrong, you (nor anybody else) have no power to judge whose right or wrong. as long as a person is doing what they think is right, then its right. if somebody else think's its wrong, then they're gonna stop them. considering that we are all humans, in the end it's whose left alive thats right. examples would be: Batman, Every single war that has ever happened. so you pacifist can sit there and be pusies and get your *** kicked, while the rest of us are gonna fight and win this thing. Now go back to eating ghandi's **** matt, and let the real men handle business.

Im creating an APEX hitlist name the people yall want me and caleb to play.

Im also getting people souvenirs if they're under 10 dollars, so if you want something in particular that can be purchased in NJ or Mall of America thats under 10 dollars, name it, and ill try and acquire if for you.

This is a conversation me and mother had in chinese the other day. its roughly translated.

Mom: hey, you know that kira girl?
Me: ya? what about her?
Mom: everytime i see her, she has a different hair color, wats up with that?
Me: She's trying to look either like Lady Gaga or some anime character
Mom: oh... well, you should tell her to stop it, cuz shes not doing a very good job of it...

BEST MOM EVER
