Oh uh that. The PA:A is a series of wow guilds which has no affiliation with me. I meant the Penny Arcade forum vent servers, which are funded and run by Penny Arcade Forumers. The information for it is stickied in a thread in the Games & Technology section of the PA forums.I'm gonna try connecting to the Penny Arcade vent server, since that's a pretty major site. I'm sure they will like having more users and potential donors as well. The PA Vent forum says that to obtain server connection info, you must contact one of the officers. It also says not to distribute this info to non-PAA members, which means we ought to join Penny Arcade (should be just as easy as setting up any other account). I guess PM Munkus for server info, because that's what I'm doing. I just hope they have the voice quality dialed down to minimize bandwidth usage.
Oh, and all you need to run Vent is the client-side software. Download it, install, and connect to the server of your choosing, assuming you have obtained the proper info.
You always have online. That's what everyone else is using.Yea i wanna play someone in real life too... but i cant so yea...
You were telling us before Brawl came out how you couldn't wait for it because you'd finally be able to play us. And look at how good moogle got from playing 64 (As he's already said). Beggars can't be choosers, man.Yea i know but the online is gay anyways. I dont want button lagg i want no lagg.
i'm always down.So what's going on this weekend in the wonderful world of Smash? I want to play somebody (in real life).
The lag was balls. I was weeping when I was doing my lag taunt and you just kept on dash attacking me.Good games JWT. I'm signing off because I'm far far too tired to continue. I think we had a good connection, though.
Thx for the info on the wireless way to go, but i dont use wireless.. i use the LAN adapter cause running through wired is always faster.Tarnish: what you want to do is change the router's wireless channel from 6 to either 1 or 11. That should speed things up.
Ha ha. Coach and Moogle recently switched in the opposite direction. I'm sure they cringe upon reading your words. But trying this couldn't hurt.Well you would think that but my internet has been ****ing up lately and were switching from DSL to Comcast soon so that might fix it. Other then that it also varies on the other person's connection to. So one person having a good connection means nothing for Brawl, like i keep saying the online for Brawl is garbage right now. Nintendo has alot to learn about online before it becomes good, and for the people who use wireless well... its ganna make it worse to host cause of wireless being not that good and all.
i completely agree with everything you said, but it goes so much farther than that. i can't punish MK for ANYTHING. if he misses say, a dsmash, i can't grab or do anything before he'll dsmash me again. if i shield against it, it'll push me back out of grab range, but not far enough to where he can't hit me again. every one of his attacks are nothing but instant. i can counter his upB, but unless i'm at the top of the attack, the counter won't hit him (i'm referring to using Ike against him). urgh. everything he does is spammable. i hate MK with a passion. i haven't found anything i can do that will consistently work against him.just learn to space against metaknight. and don't try to override any of his attacks because it won't work. his swords have priority over everything even so called high-priority moves. and don't try to shield grab him, that doesn't work much either.
btwizzle i should have my brawl friend code in a matter of hours
btwizzle parte dos: moogle take lucas and marth off my characters and add jigglypuff and olimar
thanks for the help dudeYeah, I'm so used to shield grabbing people. I don't enjoy fighting MetaKnight either, because he can punish both rolling and shield grabbing, but I keep trying. And Snake's startup lags don't help. Then again, I look forward to trying shield-dropped grenades on his provocations.
@Majist: The router doesn't have a direct interface. You have to access it from your computer's web browser. Go to http://192.168.1.1 and follow your router's login instructions. From there, you can do all this stuff, but proceed with caution. Usually there will be a wireless tab with a drop-down menu with a list of channels (or frequency ranges). Note the default setting and select a different one and then do the same for all devices that connect to the router wirelessly (Wii, laptop, etc.) Call me if you get stuck.
