AIM Virus Going Around

For the past few days I've been getting tons of random IMs from smashers around the Atl North area all saying something similar like "Check out this photo album I made of us!" Then a link that starts with like tinyurl.com.....
The link directs you to download a .exe file, and this is certainly a virus. Idk why it seems to be only happening to me from atl north smashers, I guess someone got it, and it messages ppl on their buddy list, then someone else foolishly downloaded it and it kept spreading.
I've been getting it from ppl like sintros, jman, and more. I know i'm not the only person getting these messages

I got this awhile ago, it sends it out to everyone on your list. Its a trojan that can steal your passwords/username etc.

Google AIMFIX to get rid of it.

I get that message from Jman as well. At first, I was like 'wait, I don't remember taking pictures with Jman recently...' Then I saw how it was worded out and just ignore it

I suggest everyone, if it becomes a bother, to just temp. Block them and PM them, letting them know that they have the virus.

yeah...it's a pain to get rid of. I suggest you handle businees ASAP. It'll keep ruining you the longer it stays. It's not easy to get rid of, either, because it invites more.

I just have tons of yaoi/shota/loli images. I don't have any firewall or virus protection and never have, and my computers are clean.

BS. Every hentai lover has some type of firewall or virus protection. Either that or maybe you're hitting lucky with low level sites >_>;;


aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaanyway, not to steer off topic, there should be something done with this stupid virus. Maybe down a AVG (Anti-virus Gold) program. Works well if you have a good broadband.

I got an IM and immediately my ackbar sense went off: "I never took a picture with this ***** in my life..."

I was getting it from Non-smashers and Eazy, why would anyone click that.

I lol at the people who still fall for these viruses. I get them all the time from people on my MSN list.
