AHHH! I used Wii's system update and now I can't launch the homebrew channel! ;_;

I wanted to buy a game off the shopping channel which required an update, and now when I try to run the homebrew channel the screen just goes black and nothing happens.

Has this happened to anyone before? Is there a way to get things working again? D:
Thanks for any responses.

Get Bannerbomb and BootMii (both easy to find by yourself). Follow the instructions properly to reinstall the HBC.

If all else fails...use Bannerbomb to aid you in shady methods to downgrade. ._.

The Wii System Update updates a file that HBC uses (an IOS but I won't go into it), and because its updated, HBC can no longer read it, so upgrading/reinstalling HBC is your best bet

As far as I know it affects all Wii's, but different versions of Homebrew.

4.0? Yeah, uninstall and re-install. You had me scared for a minute that there was a new update or something.

There is a new update. 4.1...which apparently only fixes some things and doesn't add anything new. It also is supposed to delete homebrew.

No it doesn't. Do your research please.
Previous installs of Homebrew Channel and DVDx, as well as Bannerbomb are unaffected. It does not delete anything you have.
