I apologise.
It was foolish of me to put another marth help thread.
All I really did was sum all his stuff up.
I did have some stuff I was going too add like auto-cancelling (which i hope haven't been posted already).
Maybe I should just make a seperate thread for that only.
Or a Youtube vid because I've been unable to find one like it.

Oh, and by the way, I kinda messes up the setups too.
For example:
I put that the whole DB neutral combo could set up for a Ken Combo.
I forgot to say the last hit was "up" and only worked at low damage % with proper jump placement.

Also, Ken Combo to DS was inacurate.
It's a Ken combo using the DS instead of the spike...
And it only works far off the stage.

So, Sorry Banana Trooper, Steel2nd, VietGeek and Junk in the trunk.

I'm not sure this thread is necessary. It seems like there's already quite a few guides on how to play marth. There's an entire thread for the shieldbreaker move alone, and also another thread for the dancing blade. Is there really anything new you have to say? Else I think it might be better if we just keep the old threads alive.

Maybe.
I was going to include that.
I still have some more stuff to bring to this.

theres not too many advanced things with marth. just play smart, effectivly and space well. the ones who do that better are the ones who play marth better. and thats it lol not too complicated and this thread isnt very neccessary

What's the point of this thread? This is all said in other threads but in greater detail. You're basically summarizing each one.

Should be retitled to: "Getting good enough with Marth fast so that people can't say you suck"

Because, as said before, others thread cover this information in-depth enough that there's no need for you to repeat it. The only use I find for this is for someone who wants to use Marth and is too lazy to read-up, and instead will "feel" the other info as they battle...

This is not only redundant but inaccurate ><

Have you tried all of those "set ups"? Some of those definitely don't work.

"Ken Combo" to DS can't work for obvious reasons, unless the Dolphin Slash is to recover/stage spike a very ******** Pit/ROB that's flying back up from a low-damage spike. -_-

The DB set-ups can be punished against since Marth has a lot of lag if he doesn't follow up sans the initial hit. I don't know how the second up hit works, but I would wager it has the same sad lag that the neutral hit has. You can't follow up unless your foe messes up then.

I don't know about the others, a lot of the set-ups that he uniquely put up I'm not too confident in.

A Falcon player will almost never use Falcon Punch outside of maybe edgeguarding. But that's an example, and yes there's no set-up for Counter, unless you count camping as one.
