Add one new character at the cost of an already existing character

If it came down to it, if you could pick one character to cut from the Smash roster and replace with a similar character (whether they're from the same franchise, or have similar mechanics, or fill similar roles), which characters would you pick and why?

Personally, I would replace Dr. Mario with another Mario rep, maybe Waluigi. It just doesn't feel right having two Mario's in the game and them being very similar to each other, and the only distinction being a PhD . I'd much rather pick someone unique or distinct like Waluigi, or hell, even Toad.

What do you think?
