Well, if you have "PAL" Version, this may help you:YEEAAAHHH!!!11!!1!one!!1

Now about the Hands... ...I don't know why they wont work. I know for a fact that It doesn't matter what setting it is on, (Develop, Debug, ECT.) I have NTSC version, so I'm at a loss. I would try players 2 and 3 (on the debug menu AND in the controller slots) and then try to fight. OH YEAH I just realized to fight with the hands you have to use the D-Pad! I can't remember exactly how but It's kinda like how you use the settings in develop. So mess around with it :p

Today, meleeruler is the best. Thanks for helping me out with my AR.
Hey, just here to help, (or at least try:p )

"Use with the Debug Menu code. When the Debug Menu first comes up, there will be a player selection there. That is Player 5. In the Melee selection criteria, the All Players value will be Player 6. Start the Melee match and P5 and P6 should be the people you chose."

That's a quote I got. So use the 6-player melee code and use the debug code, then follow what the quote says.

Oh yeah for all of you on this thread you can get codes from the 2 links I have provided. Here they are again:

I think its already been answered in this thread... but not on this page... its an "Action Replay" and is used to hack certain games like SSBM. Some people consider it cheating, since technically you CAN cheat with it (by playing with characters like Master Hand and Crazy Hand if you wanted to, or screwing around with move stats etc...) To find one, go to This Website. You can also find codes and whatnot for the games you play with it... You could probably find one to buy easiest by searching on e-bay or amazon or somethin' like that...

My bad... its a special memory card and a gamecube disc... either way, its pretty easy to use... It should have instructions with it on how to use it specifically... just go to arcentral.net whenever you get one and use their codes and whatnot... depending on what version of SSBM you have... but of course you knew that already...

Should be fine. The debug code that most people use was included on the first version. And Im sure the store probably has newer versions anyways. But they all have teh same codes, just newer added onto it. Or atleast I was told so.....

The code you use depends on what version of SSBM you have. To open up the debug menu, you need a different code for each version... at least thats what I understand from what I've read... but other than that, an AR is an AR...

All AR's (unless a different brand and they aren't much different from like pro and regular) will work. But there are different codes for the versions. 1.0 and 1.1 have the same codes but 1.2 is different. Not sure about PAL.

And Master and Crazy Hand are 3rd and 4th controller 0_o

And to the person asking about frames, go to debug mode and select develop. Then pick your characters and start the match. Press R and up on the d-pad. Now you can pres start to pause the game and Z to advance frames. Check the debug mode guide on gamefaqs or SDM's site for more info on the debug mode.

Debug Menu replaces Training (donny2112)
97C1-UV77-WCJ6X
71FF-8NQF-34JHE

This will tend to freeze the game alot less because all the options are still avalible, but when you want to go to debug, just go to training(you don't need training if you have debug)

also, putting in the "Stamina Mode/Status Modifier for Debug Menu (donny2112)"
1FHN-27CH-2X7X6
PM1Q-PZEF-WMD9U
EHZ9-2XP6-MR9AH
6CDE-KKJJ-NRGG2
AQGQ-KAG0-ZVZ10
18FG-NTMQ-CGZ1C
FEJC-NUKW-3CMQB
EXEV-W1W3-TMZNM
HP29-3WE0-RNM6T
EU9M-NX2Z-YJN8W
XM17-KTZ9-GMCYH
Z9D2-5XDT-JR051
BDQU-HZAK-643PE

UMTR-07T1-9W8ZR
XF55-V4G9-PMFWV
70MG-3V63-V1741
AQ9D-JRJR-6VQ08

the way this code works is you go to "VERSUS MODE-" in the debug menu, and then go to "-RULE". there, "VIBRATION SELECT-" will become -FLAGS... you can change the status of a charater. you can select between metal, stamina, invisible, and low gravity though a series of numbers.

this is a long code, is seriously worth it.

also, i have a lot of experience and knowledge(i use it everyday) with AR
so if someone has a question, feel free to PM me.

i will post all the "status" for the Stamina Mode/Status Modifier soon

THANK YOU arcentral.net!

when you have Stamina Mode/Status Modifier for Debug Menu, these are the possile options in numberical order..

anyways, you put these in your "flags"

1=Stamina Mode
4=Low Gravity
5=Stamina+Low Gravity
8=Invisible
9=Invisible+Stamina
12=Low Gravity+Invisible
13=Stamina+Low Gravity+Invisible
48=Metal
49=Metal+Stamina
52=Metal+Low Gravity
53=Stamina+Metal+Low Gravity
56=Metal+Invisible
57=Stamina+Metal+Invisible
60=Metal+Low Gravity+Invisible
61=Stamina+Low Gravity+Invisible Metal

To set your HP on Stamina, go to Damage set, and what every you put there, will beyour HP
WARNING: Sometimes if you set the damage over 499... the damage will stop at 1HP
idon't know why this happens

I have tested all of these...
they work...

Wow. I have to try that out!

Er...btw, you've got....
"57=Stamina+Metal+Invisible
60=Metal+Low Gravity+Invisible
60=Stamina+Low Gravity+Invisible Metal
I'm assuming one of those 60's should be 58 or 59?

And is it true that you need a code to be able to play as the hands?

oops, Typo... haha...

that second 60 should be a 61...

and you do not need a code other than Debug to play as master hand or crazy hand
it's just that master hand can only be from port 3 and crazy from port 4

putting them on slot 1 or 2 may freeze the game.... or just make them un-controllable

now if you wish to play as them on port 1 or 2, then you need a code...

these codes...
1.0

P1 - Play As Master Hand
NX9Y-RJUX-QMHB4
97WU-619W-Q3YY4
9519-04ZE-JYAA5
YCRP-3NCN-Y0MPX

P1 - Play As Crazy Hand
2F7A-X3HX-5E1NN
97WU-619W-Q3YY4
9519-04ZE-JYAA5
5ZER-0C5V-QAA53

P2 - Play As Master Hand
Y4QB-0524-09VVR
K2Y6-7V5Y-N6UYP
KNFA-93MZ-N6T4J
MYD5-0KBU-5YNQZ

P2 - Play As Crazy Hand
DQKY-8AWX-ZVKWG
K2Y6-7V5Y-N6UYP
KNFA-93MZ-N6T4J
HN0M-6WPA-WDUPU

that's for 1.0
too lazy for the rest

Action Replay Q&A

Hey everyone, I wanted to make a Q&A for Debug Mode because if you are like me.... you don't like FAQs pages that much.
Wait, isn't this a sort of FAQs page?
So yeah, for those who do not know what Action Replay.... A.K.A., AR is a cheating device
(YAY!) that allows you to... well... cheat... and goes for around $30(us)
But in smash it serves a greater purpose... DEBUG MODE! The lazy makers of this game just left it in there(haha, kidding)... Anyways, Debug mode is a mode that was for the devlopers so
they could test stuff without playing the whole game(maybe if they play the whole game, we wouldn't have 3 version in the US, huh?).
Well, you can do some fun stuff with debug mode... Some good, some bad, some just plain weird...

Some good things would be:
Play as Giga Bowser, get hidden trophies, and play on the homerun Contest level and target test levels....

Now some bad things:
Freeze the game(not too bad), erase your SSBM data, or reformat your memory card(very bad... all data on that card would go poof).

And let us not forget the Weird:
Play as giga bowser on FD while he is 500% bigger, make yourself super duper stong while 20% your normal size, and alot more... alot...

Anywhos....

If you need some AR codes, try going here!
http://arcentral.net/ssbm/SSBM.html
or

i will be here to answer your AR needs....

i will now un-load my knowledge...

Stamina Mode/Status Modifier for Debug Menu Help

a charater. you can select between metal, stamina, invisible, and low gravity though a series of numbers.

When you go there, it will look something like this...
RUMBLE.1- 0
RUMBLE.2- 0
RUMBLE.3- 0
RUMBLE.4- 0

These are the possile options in numberical order..

1=Stamina Mode
4=Low Gravity
5=Stamina+Low Gravity
8=Invisible
9=Invisible+Stamina
12=Low Gravity+Invisible
13=Stamina+Low Gravity+Invisible
48=Metal
49=Metal+Stamina
52=Metal+Low Gravity
53=Stamina+Metal+Low Gravity
56=Metal+Invisible
57=Stamina+Metal+Invisible
60=Metal+Low Gravity+Invisible
61=Stamina+Low Gravity+Invisible+Metal

While in Stamina status, to set your HP , go to Damage set, and what every you put there, will be your HP
WARNING: Sometimes if you set the damage over 499... the damage will stop at 1HP
i don't know why this happens...

Here is an example:
P1 wants metal, p2 wants stamina, p3 wants metal plus stamina, p4 wants low gravity...
so it would look like this

RUMBLE.1- 48
RUMBLE.2- 1
RUMBLE.3- 49
RUMBLE.4- 4

simple no?

i will keep adding to this when i can...

honestly, i haveno idea what's up with that code, it's in a weird format....
it seems to be in "Code Breakers" format...
you could just use the debug to pick the pokeball and which pokemon comes out.
if you use debug mode, set the DBLEVEL to Develop, Go to rule, and set it higher than nothing and start your game, you can spawn any item at any time and even what pokemon comes out of which pokemon.
While in game play with develop:
L + Up D-pad- Go through list of items to drop.
L + Down D-pad- Go through list of items to drop.
L + Left D-pad- Go through list of pokemon to come out of pokeball.
L + Right D-pad- Go through list of pokemon to come out of pokeball.
Down D-pad- Spawn item.

so, you just set your item to MBALL, select your pokemon, and hit down on the d-pad...
instant pokemon
if you want to see ditto, his name is metamon btw...

it's debug mode(develop)
if you are in develop mode and hit start, it will freeze that frame...
then you hit Z and it will go 1 frame for every time you hit Z
