I got mollywhopped in bracket. Y.b.M 1st round and then Twilight Prince. I haven't played the MK match-up consistently enough. I used to have it pretty much on lock but there is a SEVERE lack of MK around here. So TP had his way with my Sonic. I've come to realize that I can't play campy at all against MK. Like it's not my style to sit back for a long period of time. I need to bob and weave against MK like usual. Also, I think I figured out what to do against Zero Suit. Spindash is NOT one of those things.
SIDENOTE: Lost to Asdioh in 2 mms. You wanna talk about choking? I ****ed up so many inputs against him, it was ridiculous. Even my ASC spacing was WAAAAAY off. I landed in front of him on several occasions like a half inch away from him grabbing at nothing. I was soooooooooooooooooooooo pissed. Set 2, 2nd game which would've been mine if the Bair I put out actually happened. I should've C-sticked it but I put it in through the control stick like a ****ing tard, so instead of Bairing and DI'ing away, I just landed on the platform and walked right off into a Usmash at like 140. Also, nothing is more frustrating than trying to run, only to just saunter towards/away from your opponent. So yeah, sounds like johns, all of it happened. I ended up losing 3 dollars.

Excel forgot to mention that I beat him in 2 MMs, then beat his Luigi in pools
he managed to take a game off me with Luigi though, thanks to a clutch Shoryukenhehe I'm hoping everyone knows that was entirely for the lulz by now.
Blame Bio for bringing me here to I guess defend my honor.
Also, X is the best Sonic, omgomg
And it's true you shouldn't underestimate... I wasn't underestimating players this weekend, but characters, and I lost to stuff like Wolf (Kain) and Zelda x_x never again will I underestimate a character, even if it's Ganondorf.

are you serious? my dude Kain is the truth, you shoulda known that kid is top tier by now.
Well, I'd heard he was good, which I didn't doubt, but I've never played a good Wolf before, and I just didn't see it coming. I went Fox against him, and he shine gimped me both games, which made me see the obvious: if a spacy has to use Up B against Wolf (and many other characters) he dies XD
And Wolf sets up for it perfectly with Dthrow or something.
I should've gone Kirby, I did much better against him with Kirby in doubles.

you know if wolf has to upb, you can shine it in between the up b hits with fox, you know that right?

I did mention it. Also, it won't happen again.
I figured, but it's not like I have the timing down, nor does Fox have as easy of a way to set that up as Wolf does :s
I dunno man, considering that Sonic is the ONLY character I have extensive practice against, I doubt I'll be losing to very many from now on :/

all you have to do to is make it so that he cant recover with side b, and than when he goes to up b, fall into it intentionally, and mash down b. Itll work.
Marths do the same thing, they jump into wolfs up b and mash up b, to kill him out of it.
No timing involved whatsoever.

up b, despite it having none, i think its still called fire wolf.
you should be able to nair/dair the side b.
also, you realise that the practice sonic you play with is less than optimal right? As in, if you play any sonics better than him, youre still going to lose.

Obviously if I play a crappy MK all the time and then go against m2k, it's not going to be the same, but regardless, I know Sonic inside and out, which I never did before, so I at least know what to do in any given situation. I just watched my set against Shugo from March, and while Shugo is good, I played SO BADLY that I feel confident that I could do much better next time I play a good Sonic.

Ill let him run with it, if hes running to a tournament that ill be at. i feel the need to test this, I counter sonic theory of his.

do any of you guyz play wifi, or are you lucky enough to have people nearby? My friend is going back to college now, about 1.5-2 hours away, and the nearest smasher besides him is 45 minutes.
I'm afraid to play wifi because it sux, afraid to play CPUs because they're ****ing ********, and afraid to not play because my Fox gets bad quickly without practice ;_;

The whole point is, I never said that.
I said that I doubt I'll be losing to very many since I have SO much practice, and I guess I've backed it up by not losing to any Sonics since playing Shugo in March. Not that there are many, or that they win tournies around here >_>

I'm going to see about trying to get our own TV into our room, just in case there's no real room to play in the venue so we can get proper practice in. You and the others are more than welcome to play and chill.

Now I'm mad hyped. Just gotta score a job so I can save up for this.

Oh, and do me a favor, could you two play out a Sonic Vs. Ike match? Either friendly or MM, I would just like to see how far you two have come, and how an overall all-around better Sonic would go about playing the MU.
Edit: Tails, I'm picking up Lucario. You're going to be the gateway to making this matchup better for Sonics.

I love this MU, I used to hate it but then I realized I only hated it because I didn't want to go through the effort of becoming a good player. Now that I know it's pretty just who can predict better, I would be happy to play any worthwhile Lucario.
