accept your character's weaknesses

many of you prolly know gimpy fish has a set of videos that tell you what you can do to get better. One of the topics is to know your character's limits and how to play around them.

Mostly the stickied threads just talk about how you can take advantage of strengths, so I was hoping for some advice from more veteran players.

What do you guys feel are pika's weaknesses, and how do you personally play around that.

(I apologize if there is in fact a section talking about weaknesses that I missed, if I assume this thread will be deleted and I'll go look again.)

Weaknesses:
Relatively(but not horribly) light
Chaingrabbable by many chars
Poor range on most moves
Weak damage output
Awful grab range

Strengths:
Decent aerial and ground mobility
Excellent recovery
Uair (it's so good, it deserves its own catagory)


Probably more, but those stick out the most to me. Pika excels in mobility. You always want to have as much control of the spacing between you and your opponent as you can, as pika does relatively well with this.

i think another weakness is his shield. i somehow always get shield pierced =( poor pika, can't handle much shield pressure *sniffle* but at least it's not as bad as G&W lol

Yeah... when I play pika I always try to lightshield, or move my shield to directly block the hit.
ganons Fair is blockable maybe like -100000% of the time. lol. I always try to move my shield higher to block it.
I hate pika's poor little shield. Little worse than DKs but a little better than G&W lol.
