My friend Allied was broke for a tournament one time. He asked me dearly "Ophy can you spot me ever so dearly for singles and doubles?" I dearly replied with yes and that's where it began. Weeks upon weeks with no money repayed (2months to be exact), he began to avoid me and turn everyone against me. And to think after all the car drives, after extra money spent at Apex for a hotel room which I never charged him for, I never asked to be reimbursed for these things. And don't reply with "I have no money" because tomorrow he's going to a tournament.

It's just a video game, Dave.

Just a game and a horrible community.

Mewter/Hylian, that's not the point...

I'm trying to say that you shouldn't let a couple bucks jeopardize a friendship... It's not worth it.
I know what you mean.
I was just trying to be picky.

After you get sued by your ex-girlfriend, money becomes everything and worth more than any friendship. It would be different if I were to say "OH here you go, it's ok you can have it"

But this was money borrowed from ME. In the other instances where I wasted gas money and hotel money for other people it didn't matter because I never asked them to pay me back. This is different.

Woah. Downer. And items like money? Seriously? Just ask him straight up "where's my money?" then proceed to collect.

Asked him multiple times throughout June and this month.

He always says he doesn't have money or curses me out to avoid it. I know he doesn't work, but he is still attending tournaments.

He actually owed me money in February for gas money going to Princeton, NJ, but he avoided it by getting in a fight with me and ending our friendship for about 2 months.

Either forgive and forget and never loan him money again or completely dump him as a friend.
It really won't have use, you will never get it back, I know this.

Do what he said.

If you keep on bugging him about the money, he'll never repay.
The best thing is to forgive and forget and never loan him money again.

Just move on and don't hold on to the past. ;)

Guy sounds like a real knob.

If I were you I'd forget about him, move onto better friends.

Unless he's like, your best friend. In which case you need to pick your friends more carefully.

Just my opinion, though.

No. When you owe money and avoid repaying that person back. It's called disrespect.
Never let slide disrespect.

Nope, I don't take advantage of people.
Sir, we are humans. Humans are selfish. One way or another, you will have to.
This guy owes you a couple of bucks? You better bump his head on a wall or something.

If someone cussed me out when I asked for my cash I would beat the **** out of them.

Just sayin~
Exactly my thoughts.
I've beaten like 2 'friends' because they owed me quite a sum of money and tried avoiding me.

I'm telling you, you got sued and got financial problems? That guy just doesn't respect you. He might be even doing that to other people. He abused of your hospitality, you're just going to let it slide? When it comes to money, moral and values ain't worth ****.
Get him I say.

I'm only 15 and we loan out money in school, but those are pisspoor numbers, like 1 euro is a lot there. I always loan out my money to kids one year below me, then threaten them to get back my money. It makes me feel good about myself. Sometimes they don't repay and I beat them :D

But when it comes to friends, really beating them up is a bit over the top. But like giving regular slaps on their head when they don't expect it works. Everyday he won't pay it back, add another slap. Day 1, not paid back? 1 slap. Day 2, still not paid? Oh, slap him twice, etc, etc.

**** happens when you give away your money. I would give him a dealine to pay me. Or I'd get people to jump his *** for my money back.

How much was it anyway?

We're not all gay Teran.
If you resort to violence, you're doing it wrong.
Intimidation and mastery of others' mind is a mental art, and complete control should be possible without even lifting a finger.

Sure, fighting is great fun, but it also has consequences, and requires more physical effort.

Only if they touch you first, then you can go to town.

I agree with RyuReiatsu. If the guy hasn't paid you back do something about it. Don't just let it slide, because that way he'll be able to do this to more people. And when you loan money, make sure (and I mean EXTRA sure) that they will be able to pay it back and are actually GOING to pay you back. After you get your money back, dis him. And cut off all connection with him. You don't need friends like that.

Do what I do in these situations: Forget about it, and never loan them money, again. So what if your friend may turn against you? It's not like you're going to see him for the rest of your life.

Get over it, it's just money ($40?).

Violence is not cool.

I meant it as in, we are not all gay. Gays can be very intimidating to straight men.

Then straight men are idiots. Gays are pansies, just prod them and they'd shatter like glass. Not to mention they have the emotional stability of an emo schoolgirl.

What if one suddenly starts to hot on me, or prod ME with his one-eyed snake.
Remember, all gays are like Brüno. I've seen that movie and it opened my eyes.

...Are you ****ing serious dude? There's a reason torture isn't actually that reliable of a method to get people to talk and do stuff. There's a difference between scaring them and hurting them, and scaring usually achieves more. Watch Burn Notice sometime, seriously.

That being said, no one gets to take my ****ing money and talk to me like that. Hell no.
