I just wanted to know if anyone is currently or going to make a new Marth guide. If not then, I guess I will. But I just wanted to know so I don't have to waste my time doing something that is being done.

Some of the ones out now are excellent, anything written by EL is usually gold. Emblem Dedication is the best guide ive read.

Sorry Mazaloth but I think there are a few people trying to. Even still, if you do work on one please send it to at least two or three MBR members and get their feedback, as well as anyone else you think is knowledgeable about the topic. I guess all I'm saying is that if we have a big Marth guide we want it to be accurate.

Honestly, some are a little outdated but ZMT'S thread that links to useful threads is a pretty **** good guide overall.

Meh, less work for me, but I just thought that it would be very unlike us, to be official without a guide of our own.
Of course; Steel, EL, ect. Would do a better job at it since they are the top Marth players here, but I just wanted to see if I could show some initiative to these boards then just lurking.

Even if there are others guides being written, you can always offeryour own perspective. Or you could write a more specific guide of some particular aspect of the character that you have special expertise in.

Lol EL quit, he's doin' SF4.
I frankly am tempted to make one on dtilt, there hasn't been a new one I've seen in awhile, and I think that a lot of matchup specifics that have come up require good marths to know dtilt.

Not enough new marths I've seen use it, after my recorded match vs. Kevin, I realized that not playing often enough got me lazy and I used dtilt less, which cost me a lot of good opportunities, after I picked up more, I got night-and-day better.

No, I know. But he still knows more then me, and probably can destroy my Marth.
But, yes, Dtilt is a great move, to pressure offensively, and even to get some space for those who like defensive tactics.

Though, what I encourage others to do, is the Reverse Tipper. It is great, and can really mess with the other persons DI.
Along with using Nair, because a lot of people under-use it. Walking, Ftilt, UTilt, Nair, and Reverse Tipping are all things that aren't used enough.

By the way, the guide I intend on posting/making isn't going to be in the same steed as Ulevo's one.

Mine isn't intended for beginning Marths.

It's meant to pretty much cover everything that guide (Ulevo's) did not.

Perhaps you could do an "audiobook" for Ulevo's guide then?

;P
