My friend told me in Japan in some stores, Fates sold out.

So the series sold out in a few days just like Splatoon? Damn, Fire Emblem is really getting popular if that's the case.

If that's not a sign that people are enjoying Fire Emblem Fates, then I don't know what is. Let's just hope that the character Corrin is popular enough to makes fans say "Hey, we haven't got ourselves a new character in Smash other than a veteran like Roy. So how about having some Fates love in Smash since this guy is badass. Time to got to the Smash Ballot and vote for him to be in the same game as Marth and Robin!".

This, the game is most likely going to get that T rating and it's nowhere near as bad a your average Grand Theft Auto game (One was even recalled and rerated just because of the hidden minigame that would warrant it an AO rating). The skinship though, I doubt they'll do much with this since as far you go is a single rub as opposed to feeling the whole thing like Pokemon Amie.

While the hardcore fans may hate it, having more noobs in the fandom would make it grow and it could be next to Kirby levels of success. Waifus and such is actually what made the games become bigger than they were and we all know the population of single fans in the world.

Awakening made fire emblem back in the spotlight. Add smash to its publicity and all of the publicity from the fanservice and the incest etc making everyone talk about it this one will probably do absurdely well also.

Having some social features and lighthearted moments doesn't make an RPG too bad since we might as well bash The Tales franchise for the same reason. If only those fools can realize that Persona is more financially successfully and get over the fact that the "glory days' are over.

I hated the way SMT X FE turned out because I thought it would be a cool crossover game like Dissdia FF, being able to play as characters from both series.

It seems to me that when we first saw the Menu options in the Persona 5 "gameplay-and-story-glimpses" trailer, the Social Links feature wasn't in there. But it could still be added later I guess. I'd just prefer it to be gone.

I didn't mind the fanservice in Awakening, but I really feel it didn't have to go this far to attract new fans. I didn't mind the love confessions or the marriage and children (liked those, in fact), but stripping and ogling was a no-go for me.
Although thinking about it, Fates seems to be an experiment. Now that they have a solid footing again, I think IntSys wants to test the waters as to how far they can/should go in the future games.

False alarm, found a recent topic that further explains their use. Turns out the Amiibo characters do join your army, but only if you beat the levels that were unlocked by them (which you would have to defeat them).

Part of me thinks it won't be the opposite when it comes to the West for the same reasons. Just like how Awakening is newcomer friendly, I can see them being more interested in Hoshido more than Nohr.

True but know that Nohr is more popular on importer sites and whenever there is a poll about which side to choose on a western site, Nohr wins by a landslide.

I think it could be that people like Nohr better for the culture and characters similar to ours but flocking to Hoshido for causal friendliness.

I like Nohr better but I'm totally doing Hoshido first.

In a way, the petition is a bit redundant when Nintendo would make things clear that all siblings are non-blood related on both sides. But the face rubbing stays since so much effort was put into the creation of the My Room mode. Actually, it's pretty well received in Japan from what I've seen since it makes the characters seem more like characters despite the "kawaii pandering" factor of the scenes.

In other news, you can edit your computer to have these Fire Emblem Amie models as your computer icons. Thank you hackers.

We technically don't have full knowledge if Corrin is going to be the true default for male or just a placeholder the crews were told to use for the demos.
But footage of both genders used Corrin.
