Actually, I would believe that. The bond me and my dog have is pretty strong. I dunno if she would wait for me for 11 years, but I would certainly be missed if I died.

When my dog was less than a year old it slipped into my neighbor's pool, and, not knowing how to swim, thrashed around, and seemed like it was going to drown. I jumped in and placed her on dry land, and she immediately glued herself to my leg. She has been a loyal companion ever since, and she might wait a few years for me, but 11 years, wow. The owner must've done a lot.

Edit: Since then I've taught her how to swim ;)

my dog died a few days ago, her name was sneakers and she was 17 :(I miss her.
