A good CP for Marth

Marth does very well on all neutral stages.

Vs Fox/ Falco I'd probably go Battle field Because its harder for them to run around on such a small stage and platforms are always helpful to Marth.
Vs Falco specifically Mute city is nice because Falco's recovery is increadibly predictable on that stage making it even harder for him to recover and you can CG him to hell and back on that stage. I would not recommend it vs Fox though.

Vs Peach/ Puff I would have to say that PS is pretty good and Yoshi's story as well.

Vs Sheik ... Good luck, FD is actually good for this matchup but thats my personal opinion really just depends on the player there I guess.

If Kongo Jungle was a counter pick of yours I'd say its good vs Falco. A lot of Falco players forget about the hunch in the middle where you can just duck and uptilt them depending on where they are or just run up and grab them. This makes it harder for Falco's to lazer spam. Marth can CG Falco pretty well but the moving platforms kind of mess that up on that stage. The barrel also can **** up Falco's recovery. Falco has some pretty stupid combo's that deal lots of damage but the stage is big so Marth can live for a little while longer then on smaller stages, he also has a lot of options as well.

Hope this helps.

PS and FD are great against spacies for 0-death grabs.

I wouldn't highly recommend Battlefield though, it's good but not the best as when you're recovering you're extremely open. The sides a big and the platforms are really high, which mean you're kind of hanging there in the air for a hit. Plus the ledges are stupid and makes it's retardedly tedious to sweetspot, and you know whata missed sweetspot against fox means.

I would recommend Battlefield. Fox and Falco's recoveries suffer worse than Marth's recovery on this stage.

In general it seems like the best thing to do is to CP your best neutral against whoever your playing. The only time CP stages seem valid are when you know what your opponent plays and your comfortable CP that stage against them.

Example: Marth vs Marth, you know he also plays Fox and you play better against it, so you CP Mute and hope he switches. If not MARTH DITTO ON MUTE CITY YAYAYAYAYAY.

IMO: if you dont' know this player. He might have alot of characters at his disposal. So you should pick Stages Marth is good at vs majority of the cast. Final D, Yoshi's Story.

Note: if you ever fight Mario, a good one. Ban Final D. Compliments of Green Mario ****** me on F-D. Platforms help you get out of his gay aerial combos

But yes there are good counterpicks for players that only pick 1 character. like if you KNOW he only plays fox. Take him to final D everytime. However if you're not sure. That sure would suck to take him to final D and he changes to Falcon or something. Cuz I have many other stages where I'd prefer to fight falcon than F-D too much freedom for his combos.

I'm going to add to this: EDIT
That's why if you enter a tournament, The ones where they pre-make your pools before you even get there. Research who's in your pool and see their character selection. Most people have a match SOMEWHERE in youtube.

Like Rubyris up there. I know ruby plays Fox, Falco, Falcon. That's as far as I know. Maybe ruby has marth and shiek at the side. But atleast I know i'm not just facing only fox or only falco. How I know this? research ;D

my favorites are YS and BF, last tourney i went, i didn't lose a fight on that stage ;D, i think its perfect for marth. im almost sure spacies can't sweetspot the sideB onto the ledge, so its a free Dtilt->death.
yoshi story is arguable against foxes, since their shine can get you out of the plat very easily, but then you can do the same with your grab. this stage is perfect against floaties.
final d is very good against spacies if you know very well how to CG, its really hard to do it well, keeping it up to 80% requires ability, dont choose if you don't know D:

avoid dream land D:, worst neutral for marth ever
and avoid playing with marth on rare stages, if they counterpick you on pokefloats or rainbow, change to a more versatile char if you play with another. fox, falco, sheik are very good on almost any stage.
i got ***** by a fox on pokefloats, there's little marth can do, no plats, no cg, just fairs...and jabs...and death xO

here is my match on poke floats xD

me(marth) vs Usleon(Fox)
