Hey Guys, Sariku here. I was getting pissed off at alot of things, regarding Brawl and just Nintendo in general. So, I decided to get the real deal. That's right, an eMail and a Phone Call. Directly to Nintendo.

A Call To Nintendo - So yes, I called Nintendo. When I got a hold of someone, I did a nice greeting, then asked him some questions. Yes, these are the same questions I sent in the eMail, which you can just read by scrolling down. I recorded my Phone Call though, so you guys can listen to what an average Nintendo Rep had to say about the things we really want to know about. I'll give you guys a Link to a Stream.
Part 1 - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EmHTI6BF-aI
Part 2 - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GdIrcMqXmt8

Ignore my phone number please. It seemed they sent in Costumer Service in what I did. Not that I don't trust you guys, but don't go off yelling "I KNOW SARIKU'S NUMBER!" Yes, I know I'm awesome. But please, have some dignity. Nevermind. I screamed it out. But, just ignore the screaming.

Also, reguarding the WiiWare Channel, I was alittle muddled up in information. Wii's World said that the WiiWare Channel will be a brand new channel. But Fanewgie told me it was really the subsection in the Shop Channel. I may of been wrong in that, so go ahead and tell me which one is right as a comment. I don't need flame, but just a little more knowledge about the subject.

-------------------------------------------------------------------------

An eMail to Nintendo - Again, I also sent an eMail to Nintendo Yesterday. I havn't yet got a reply though, they said in One to Two Business Days (Extra Time on Holidays). They usually answer, so I expect one. And they don't have to give me anything, but it's always worth a try. Below is the exact copy of the message I sent. When I get a reply, I'll post it here.

Original Message.
Hello Nintendo, my name is Jason Pilcher. I'm a huge Nintendo fan boy, but some things I've heard on the internet has made me curious on what things are true and what... aren't. I hope you can answer all my questions, I have quite a few.

1.) "It has been going around the internet that Nintendo said "If enough people call requesting Ryan Drumming as Sonic's Voice Actor in Super Smash Bros. Brawl, Nintendo will hire him." I truthfully don't believe that, but is that true?"

2.) "Metroid Prime 3 Corruption got a Demo Channel to help promote it. Will you do this for other big titles, like Mario Galaxy, Smash, Mario Kart, and so on? If so, what can we expect?"

3.) "The Wii Ware Channel sounds interesting, but from websites I've read from, I couldnt' get much of a picture on it. What is Nintendo Planning to do with it?"

4.) "I love the Virtual Console. Nintendo 64 games are amazing, but it seems like there isn't a very great selection of them right now. Don't get me wrong, I love Star Fox 64, Yoshi Story, and Ocarina of Time. But what other N64 Games can we expect? I know people love games like Super Smash Bros. and Golden Eye, but does Nintendo even acknowledge fan requests? And if this is planned, what can we expect to see in the future?

5.) "People found pages that claim Characters and Stages and such will be in Brawl. To make this clear, nothing is officially confirmed till shown on the Dojo, right?"

6.) "People Claim Nintendo Power said something like "We got a Special Surprise coming this Holiday Season for you guys-" Not exact words, but is this true? And if so, can you hint on what it is?"

7.) "Last question I got. E For All was amazing. Now I didn't get to go, but my friends who did... all they talked about was Brawl. Is there a possibility people who live far away from Nintendo Inspiration, Like me in Mississippi, Could get our hands on a Demo or something? Or better yet, does Nintendo even care about all these online petitions being made day after day after day..."

Edit out your number using some sort of sound editing program. I wouldn't trust anyone on the internet to have even a small amount of dignity to not abuse the phone number.

It's nice that you tried to gets ome new info, but the dudes at Nintendo's CS aren't allowed to reveal that information. you're just going to ge a lot of very vague "maybes". :ohwell:

But it's still nice that you attempted at it.

I like how you didn't demand anything, that seems to be a what a lot of people do, they call in and beg for what they want

I listened to your call; it does indeed show that the common Nintendo employee answering phones doesn't actually know too much about the inside happenings of the company! At least the man you talked to seemed patient with you, despite his obvious lack of knowledge on your issues. Oh well, I guess we'll find out some information later; but I doubt we'll get any new information from Nintendo, outside of Sakurai-san. Heck, it sounds like you might have taught him something!

Thanks for uploading, despite the lack of new info. Oh, and I could hear the recording just fine, however the "censoring" of your phone number was a little hard on the ears! Could you please just insert silence there or something next time? A helpful program for this would be Audacity. Anyways, thanks again for uploading this!

I don't really care about it. But there is a rumor around the internet that if enough people call, they'll change the actor.

Now this may be false, so I tried to ask him if it's true or not. He took it as if I requested a new one. It was too late until I noticed how he took it, so I just gave him my number.

Yeah... a lot of the questions you had could've been answered by me. In fact, I'll do you the favor right now and do that since he didn't really answer your questions right.

The first one was obviously debunked by him so I don't need to answer that.

The second one... It wasn't a "WiiWare Channel" it's just WiiWare in the Shop Channel. That's where you'll be able to download those games (or rather, in the Shop Channel in general). I think you had a misconception somewhere and it wasn't a rumor either, it's true that there will be independent devs working on small Wii games for Wii.

The third one about N64 VC games. The simple thing to say is "Just wait." VC releases happen every Monday, it isn't uncanny for N64 to have the least simply because Nintendo is saving games. So, really, just be patient.

And the Metroid "Preview" (if I may correct you) Channel likely will also carry over for other major Nintendo titles (as in we may see other Preview channels of Nintendo's other huge titles like SMG). However, this is just speculation so don't get your hopes up too high now.

The "Special Surprise" that Nintendo Power is talking about is indeed true. I have the magazine and in the preview of the next issue it says that in the holiday issue (the one that comes inbetween the December and January issue) would have some surprises, big and small.

As for the stuff being only officially confirmed on the DOJO!! I'd have to say that if it's a VA for a character that confirms the character is in the game, believe it (has to be on the VA's site). If it's someone that is credible, believe it. If it's just rumor, take it with a grain of salt.

And a Brawl demo seems unlikely but possible if NP's holiday issue's big surprise is shipping the demo with the issue.

There... I hate common misconceptions so I had to answer your questions anyway since the guy didn't really help you at all (and neither will the E-mail you'll receive).

I personally find him more helpful than most people that will entertain a rumor or speculation because it sounds cool.

I'm just wondering where you can tell the difference of the two.

He loves the word UM seriously, though, he could be a new guy. Who knows, he didn't know much about it. I say call again and use a diff name to see if you get a diff guy XD

Yeah, I didn't think I'd get anything special in all truth.

Though I was hoping for more info on somethings. Like the Sonic Voice Actor, you would think he'd give a strait forward answer. Same with the Virtual Console and Demo Posibilities.

Lol, I was listening to the 2nd part again cause of the "wow guys this is awsome" :p but I think he was still listening to you.. >.>

he acts if hes some adult looking on the internet trying to find info about that, instead of asking some other REP to help him out.

EDIT: again... If you called me I coulda told you the exact samething... "I don't know" :p

The dude you called barely knew anything... lol

And they will Email you back. I sent one once and they replied to it in 1-2 days.

Edit: Just to let you know, I forgot my question I aked them.... but it was said something about If a classic controller was hooked up to a Wiimote, would it register as 1 player or 2... and they said:

Hello and thank you for contacting Nintendo,

I am not sure if I am understanding you, but I can tell you that the Wii Remote with a Classic Controller connected to it will only register as one controller, not two. So you would only be able to control one player with it. If you want to have a two player game, you will need two of each to do so. I hope this is helpful.

Sincerely,

Nintendo of America Inc.
