I love all of them so far, but as far as tounry stages I can see a few hapening.

Smashville looks like a tourny stage because from what we know because nothing bother you, its just a standard stage.

Bridge of eldin is out because of the bombs.

Lylat Cruise is probably a tounry stage becase nothing changes but the background (much like FD).

Delfino Plaza is probably out because the stage can probably leave you behind like Mute City did from Melee.

Abd Battlefield is obviously in.

Queens, dont ask for meetups yet
BattleField : 3 plats, 1 big one. On RANDOM and COUNTERPICK
Delfino: A mute city like stage, but much better. On COUNTERPICK
Yoshis Island : FD with a platform. RANDOM AND COUNTERPICK
Lylat Cruise. A good stage, with no outside interference. On RANDOM AND COUNTERPICK.
Bridge of Eldin: Horrible stage. Outside interference, no edges, middle breaks, too much bull**** going on. BANNED and BANNED some more
Smashville: 1 big one, one small one. And Liiiiiive music. Best stage so far. RANDOM and COUNTERPICK

I love all of the stages so far. Except Bridge of Eldin...come one, nothing but flat land and a couple of obstacles? BORING! My most favorite one so far has to be Isle Delfino. From what I saw in that 15 seconds of footage, it actually feels as though you're flying right through the island. But that's just me. And who can go wrong about Battlefield? Smashville looks pretty nice too.

I just can't wait till they reveal a Metroid stage...and more info about the Halberd.

yeh so far the only truly banned stage is BoE

the other stages are perfect tournament courses (battlefield, yoshi island)

or stages that walk the fine line between casual and tournament so they're fun nonetheless

With that logic, you would find every other stage so far even more boring. Every stage so far is pretty plain. This one follows that, but also has obstacles. Its more interesting then all of them except Isle Delfino so far.

No, not really. I just don't like the idea of a flat stage...especially one that's not in the air.

I find every other stage far more appealing however. I'm beginning to wonder though, will ALL stages have cycling day/night and weather?

I think the stages appear to be tournament compatible, except Bridge of Eldin. Easy KO's through camping and grabbing at the side [like both Mushroom Kingdoms in Melee, the whole match is just attempting to grab at the edge], quite an amount of outside interference, and it just seems random.

The other stages appear tournament compatible. Isle Delfino appears to be a Counterpick, like Rainbow Cruise was is in Melee.

And flat stages in the air are the best, ones that don't bust in the match. FD is the greatest course ever, now if only it had better music and wasn't bland, it would be heaven {>.

Bridge of Eldin seems to be a course geared for casual play rather than Tournament. A stage I won't be playing much, but good to have in the lineup for variety.

Well, yeah. Brawl needs stages like BoE. So far, its the odd one out, and the only other one i can think of, that isn't on the sight, is the mario kart stage. So I'm guessing these kind of stages are going to be more extinct.

But we need them, and there hella fun. Not if they take it to the extreme though, yeah, melee has a few too many of those stages...

Lylat Cruise does more. When you go through space, meteors can hit you, and I'm pretty sure Airwings can too.

Agreed, Melee has quite a bit of those stages. Its good to have it to mix it up for some people, but I don't want too many. Lylat Cruise uses Meteors and Arwings? Arwings I can deal but Meteor's? I wish you could turn hazards off if you wish, but meh, I just want a good deal of stages to be tournaments playable.

Bridge of Eldin looks like a good stage to kick back too, though if the hazard stays, depending on how random it is, it might not be for serious matches. It might get the same treatment as Mushroom Kingdom Two, banned in singles, counterpick in doubles. Heck, no one here played the level, so its impossible to tell how big is the impact of that boar thing, it might even be possible to notice the Boar from a mile away.

I don't know, it seems like Battlefield was only created for players who want no hazards, seriously, hazards make it more fun :lick:

That's why Hazards are better in some courses than others. For me, Hazards detract. If the Boar can be seen from a mile away, I would understand it being a counterpick probably in doubles. I'd like the boar can be seen for a few seconds BEFORE it busts up the stage, and that the portal to restore it is in the air for a few seconds.

Everyone who is trying to figure out which stages will be banned before the game has even come out is stupid. In Melee, it took years of actually playing on the stages before people decided which ones should be banned, and a lot of people still can't agree.

Meh, I got nothing better to do with my time. Notice how I often change my mind, and I say "if" and "probably". Obviously I'm just speculating, and must not be taken seriously. For all we know, Battlefield could be banned, and Bridge of Eldin is the new FD [I'm exaggerating]. There will be much debate over the state of stages AFTER Brawl comes out, but much of these boards are pure guesses on the vague hints that Sakurai has mentioed.

Some stages, like Lylat Cruise might be questionable for tournament viability depending on the intensity of external factors (lasers, asteroids). However, stages like Bridge of Eldin are obviously going to be banned.
