I'd much prefer Risk...I had a huge post about the possibilities but then my computer decided to go back a page for no reason and I lost the post. Needless to say, it would be cool.

I called it.....
Yeah, my post was a response to yours. Basically it was saying things like races would be analogous to colors, and then relating the areas in Hyrule to the continents on the Risk board. Maybe I'll type it up again later.

Zora=Blue
Hylian=Yellow
Gerudo=Purple

I was thinking similarly to Kingdom Come, as far as the races are concerned (Deku instead of Kakariko), but now that you mention the Medallians, I like that as well. Either way would work. Then:

Using OoT:

Hyrule Field/Castle/Castletown - Asia
Death Mountain/Kakariko - North America
Gerudo Valley/Desert/Fortress - Africa
Lost Woods/Kokiri Forest - South America
Zora River - Australia
Lake Hylia - Europe

Territories are a bit harder to draw connections, but I did it based on how many routes each one has to another as well as similar terrains and comparable sizes. If you wanted TP Hyrule, just lump Lake Hylia with the Zora River and add in Snowpeak or Ordon, with Zora River and Lake Hylia being Europe and Ordon or Snowpeak being Australia.

Right, but he was going by the medallions. Either way, Dekus or Sheikahs, it's fine by me.

I think you could divide up the OoT map fairly enough

firstly the lost woods andlake hylia are just circles around their areas on the map and they are blue green respectively (lost woods including korkiri forest)

gerudo vally could be just a shape like |) extending a small way into hyrloe filed (think where they brown coloured ground is in OoT)

the last 3 are tricky.. I'd be inclined to say kakario and death mountain are one (red), whichs makes zoras domain look tiny so i thought zoras domain could perhaps extend into the NE side of hyrule field (you can see the riverr there allready) and that would be purple (purple often is the colour of ice in RPGS as blue is taken for water..)

and hyrule field would be the last one.. just a vaugely egg-shaped yellow blob in the middle

to sum up:
Yellow = (majority of) hyrule field + castle (egg shape)
orange = gerudo Valley (and a bit of hyrule field) (D shape)
Blue = Lake hylia (cirlce)
green = lost woods/kokiri forest (circle)
purple = zoras domain and NE hyrule field (looks a bit like a V i guess)
red = death mountain and kakariko.

PS. maybe there graveyard could be included in zoras domain or something somehow..

We could play the guessing game, as to when Spire will reveal to us his amazing thread idea, heheh.

But what Werekill said still applies - if this is an RP I'm definitely staying here.

Why is everyone so hyped up about a Zelda RPG when Zelda II was such a complete fail in the community's eyes? I don't know what it is but RPG sounds most likely. I can't stand 'em unfortunately (except for the Mother series), too boring, so I hope it isn't an RPG...

It was revealed to be this a while back.

And what's wrong with RPGs? I've ran a ton of great DnD games that were a ton of fun.

Haha, I should have been paying more attention.

There are a few reasons I don't really like RPGs.
1. I HATE chance with a passion. So I hate it when I am playing RPGs and wether I win a battle or not is partly decided by the role of the die.

2. I don't like turn-based (yes I realise not all RPGs are turned based), I prefer to actually be fighting strategically with multiple buttons, having to aim, retreat, etc... All in real time. But I don't really like RTS RPGs for the next reason:

3. I don't like having to find and kill enemies and stuff just to get my character good enough for later in the game. Say there is one move I would like to make uber powerful, I have to fight 20 idnetical enemies before that happens. Just bores me.

4. Not fast enough. I prefer fast-paced games, simple as that. Most RPGs are entirely story-driven so there is no need to rush around the overworld. And battles are quite slow as well.

Like I said though, Mother is my one exception. Why, I don't know.

I think this can best be summed up with "I prefer FPS'."

Yeah, I have some things I could say but that's not what this thread is about so let's stop here.

I'm not trying to say RPG's are bad. Just what I don't like about the ones I have played.
And yes, I prefer FPS. What's wrong with that? It's not like I'm a FPS fan-boy or anything, I just like Valve. I also like Action-Adventure games, Fighting Games, Platformers, Shoot-em-Ups, etc...

Sorry if that was a bit ranty, I just hate it when people make it seem like liking FPS's is bad.

Hold up there, I'm not saying that FPS is bad or anything. I like FPS, I also like RPGs and I do agree with some of the things you had to say, it's just that I couldn't help but notice that all of your complaints are pretty typical of that of an FPS player when they explain why they don't like RPGs.

But yeah, Valve rocks.

I love Fallout 3, never played Borderlands.

I've played Borderlands and it's awesome. Haven't gotten around to playing Fallout 3, though.
You should try it, gets a bit boring sometimes imo but it is a very good game.
I hired it from the local video store for like, $9, and now that I've installed it on the computer I don't need the disc to play it. So I effectively bought it (unintentionally) for $9.
