Skyward Sword HD wasn't on the Wii U, Wind Waker HD and Twilight Princess HD was.

It's still Skyward Sword and it's still a very large price difference. Even WindWaker HD is 20 USD thanks to Nintendo Selects.

Well, Wind Waker HD was $60 dollars when it came out and it didn't became part of Nintendo Selects until a couple of years later. The price might eventually go down for Skyward Sword HD if Nintendo doesn't act like douchebags and make it a limited time release.

There has yet to be ANY Nintendo Selects discounts for Switch titles, even for its earlier first party games like Odyssey and BOTW, so it's safe to assume that's not gonna happen.

I didn't care until they said I could play with button controls. That alone makes it worth looking into compared to the original release, IMO.

Fully priced ports are dumb unless it's a big collection. Like, I think the price of 3D All-Stars would've been totally justified with the inclusion of Galaxy 2 and maybe a bonus game or so (think Sonic Mega Collection GG games). I'm really happy they're putting some effort into the Skyward Sword port (better motion controls, the option for no motion controls, HD), but that's not enough to warrant sixty bucks.

Janx_uwu Janx_uwu true. But I wouldn't even say 3D All Stars is worth it's price with only 3 games. If it also had Galaxy 2 and 3D World, than I would say ot would have been worth it's price. But Nintendo can be really dumb overpricing ports of old games.

Lamperouge Lamperouge Yo-Kai Watch 1 for Nintendo Switch lets me more easily play the game with just buttons compared to the touch screen controls of the original 3DS version.

Several months back, all Level-5 titles went on a month-long sale of up to 80% off.

I was able to get the Switch port for 15 bucks compared to its usual 60 USD price or 35 USD 3DS version.

Plus, Level-5 games STILL get regular big discounts, as a friend of mine was able to buy Ni No Kuni Wrath of the White Witch for 15 USD for his PS just 2 weeks ago due to a similar sale event.

Nintendo titles have yet to be as generous.

So back in 2011, I bought the 3DS close to launch for it's original retail price at $299. Few months laters, they reduced the price to $299 to $199 I believe? Or lower. People got pissed and Nintendo gave the customers who bought it when it was $299 20 free VC games and some that never appeared on the 3DS Eshop as some of those games were GBA titles. I had those free games before I lost the memory card that had them during Hurricane Harvey back in 2017.

That Ambassador Program pissed me off because they proved they could port good GBA games like Wario Land 4 to 3DS but chose to make them available to the chosen few.
