It’s funny how people will say SwSh is lazy for reusing models and animations when most of the NatDex Pokémon in BW, the usual favourite gen of SwSh’s detractors, were just Diamond and Pearl sprites tweened a little.

This wouldn't need to be an issue in the first place when you account for the fact less profitable companies like Level-5 and Square Enix gave us games like Yo-Kai Watch 3 and Dragon Quest Monsters Joker 3 have huge, open and beautiful environments, well written story and phenomenal animation on their respective 752 and 712 monsters all available in a single 3DS game.

It is entirely possible for Pokemon to have every monster in one game. They just don't HAVE to do it because they have a large loyal fandom that will pay through the nose for a transfer service and games that offer less.

Yo-Kai Wach is well beyond 1,000+ monsters and has no issue giving them good animation and fitting them all into a mobile game.

Pokemon has no excuse.

Wario Wario Wario Wario Wario Wario Disregarding the fact they were also animated throughout the battle instead of only at the start, they certainly didn't use it as an excuse to cut monsters on top of actually fixing things from the previous game like the awful HP bar speed.

I still find it hilarious how Go has more lively animations in portions of it than SWSH.

Yes they can add the National Dex, But this isn't an issue of whether or not the National Dex can be added it's a matter of scale. They could add all 890 Pokemon, but something will have to be sacrificed, be that Graphics, Story etc. If they focused on a smaller dex they could have better graphics, a larger story, better animations etc. The mobile games don't have to worry about cartridge limits AND it has DRM and some of the data can be stored on a server. and in the case of Yokai Watch Wibble-Wobble it is a puzzle game and there is a disconnect between the models and the gameplay. I get what you are saying but it's not everything is that simple and Gamefreak can do better.

Yo-Kai Watch 3 didn't sacrifice a single good quality in the transition from Yo-Kai Watch 2. In fact, they only ADDED onto it in almost every department to make it as absolutely amazing and huge in scale as it is for a 3DS game.

Considering these games have done nothing but prove they're fully capable of doing what Pokemon WANTS you to think is impossible so you'll spend more money and settle for less, I'd say it really is that simple.

I literally said this on my last post but Gamefreak can do better they can make better graphics and stuff of that Ilk but I made my original post under the assumption that it will be similar to swsh

I haven't played Yokai watch 3 but I have played the original and if 3 is anything like 1 then the gameplay is nothing to write home about and it's clear that they had to sacrifice interactivity for the gorgeous visuals.
