I think it'd kind of depend on a few other things. Cutting third-parties entirely feels like it'd be kinda drastic, but I don't think it on its own would put me off from the game - though, if they went out of their way to keep every first-party character and then just replaced the third-party ones, it might feel just a little... ech.

I'd be mixed - I don't mind a 3P cut, but I feel like - assuming there are no other cuts - replacing all 3Ps (20 or so slots) doesn't really leave enough room to properly get weird with it, which is where the appeal of a "Nintendo All-Stars" game lies to me, and most of what I feel are the "dud slots" in Smash are 1P (Lucario, Meta Knight, ZSS, Ike - I don't know if you can tell this, but I don't like "cool" characters). If there are other cuts, I'll probably have to wait to see how the roster develops, and just who is cut (DO NOT CUT DR. MARIO) (but even then gameplay takes priority, and I don't think Smash will ever do that right again)

Just to clarify - I didn’t ask this with the idea that every preexisting first party would come back; Just that the whole roster would be 1Ps. Cuts could be made regarding 1Ps.
