Phase 1 of an 80's Cartoon Cinematic Universe, including whatever and loosely being based on the MCU
ThunderCats would be very early Phase 2, MASK and She-Ra spin-off from GI Joe and He-Man, TMNT and Voltron eventually come in. A lot of other obscure/semi-obscure stuff to mess around with. Wondering if Danger Mouse, Count Duckula, and Banana Man would be too ridiculous to include or if Inspector Gadget and this whole thing already are ridiculous.
Transformers
Roughly similar in plot to the 2007 movie, but with designs, tone, and the Witwickys being done more similarly to the cartoon, some similarities to the comics, perhaps. Basically, the Transformers both come to Earth from Cybertron, put into sleep for a while, but are reawakened by new forms of energy that can be potentially used to further their own Energon. The Autobots are trying to stop the Decepticons from conquering the world for this energy source, working with some humans in both the conflict and in getting used to this world in general.
GI Joe
Tech has been amped up in this world, and people are a bit uncertain, although most trust the Autobots. Nevertheless, Cobra, a ruthless terrorist organization determined to the rule the world, crops up, utilizing plans and tech derived from Decepticons. GI Joe is a military task force put together to put a stop to them.
He-Man & the Masters of the Universe
I originally thought of having this have a similar plot to Thor and the Masters of the Universe movie from the 80’s, but I thought that might be treading on ground too similar to the Transformers movie we have, with high-tech aliens being aided in a conflict by regular humans. So instead, this’ll be taking place mostly on the Planet of Eternia, with Greyskull and Snake Mountain being warring factions. Skeletor and his forces from Snake Mountain nearly conquer the kingdom of Greyskull until the young son, Prince Adam, happens upon an ancient, magical sword and becomes a warrior known as He-Man, driving Skeletor away. From there, it’s pretty much a story about Prince Adam growing into the use of this power, and how he can use it to protect others and stop Skeletor from gaining power to conquer Eternia, and perhaps, even the universe.
Inspector Gadget
Given the ever-growing presence of high-tech on this Earth, a government scientist is developing a project to create a highly-advanced cyborg that can house many different functions. However, the scientist ends up nearly killed and the plans are stolen by a rogue terrorist organization known as MAD, looking to up their game and prove themselves as higher players compared to the likes of COBRA. Nevertheless, the scientist is rebuilt and with what they still have, becomes an international detective. However, he is faulty, for multiple reasons, and is aided by a young agent named Penny, who also happens to be his niece, as well as her dog, Brain. She’s closer in age to Tom Holland’s Spider-Man than a 10-year-old or whatever age Penny is supposed to be in the original.
Revolution: Unite for the Universe
Skeletor searches the universe for even greater weapons and sources of energy, and happens upon Earth and the Decepticons. The two groups seem to agree that combining their forces together will make for a powerful alliance, if a fair weather one ultimately. The Decepticon/Snake Mountain Alliance proves to be too much for a team up of GI Joe, Inspector Gadget, and even the AutoBots to deal with, but eventually He-Man and the forces of Greyskull soon follow. Skeletor and the Decepticons would eventually be defeated, of course, but the end would hint towards an even greater power to come, that, of course (again “of course”, it seems), being Unicron.
