Since I never had a GameCube and only played Melee on the odd occasion, I've been using the Wiimote + Nunkchuk since the beginning and feel very comfortable using it. Comparing myself to videos of moderately skilled players, I don't feel that I'm at any disadvantage.

Whether M2K was sandbagging or not (which I don't think he was), the credit has go to Hylian for absolutely dominating with his Diddy from start to finish. Maybe we need to look into this match-up in more detail?

Nice! What I really liked about it is that a lot of the kills were unique and spontaneous, the result being that the opponent was completely dominated regardless of the match-up. Overall, a great video showing a wide range of skills.

Diddy Kong is the most enjoyable character to play as in my opinion, but with the vast influx of skill and ATs, do people think that Diddy Kong has the potential to be one of the best, if not the best character in the game? He certainly seems to have a lot of potential in my eyes. :chuckle:

It's brilliant that everyone's been so helpful here, but a few minutes trawling through the stickied threads at the top of this forum improved my game and grasp of Diddy Kong immensely. So while it's not wrong to question when in doubt, I think you'd find it much more beneficial than posting...

Why would this be so? Surely matching the Pikmin to their appropriate applications would be valid playing against any character? Why do you highlight slow characters in particular?

M2K came fourth in a recent tournament to a Diddy Kong. Perhaps this is due to a bad match-up on his part? Here's the thread in which M2K proposes that Diddy Kong could be considered an MK 'counter'.
