When the opponent is on a platform above you shielding, what are good things to do as Zelda?

I usually just find myself nairing the shield hoping to catch a roll/spotdodge. Lightning Kick does a lot of shield damage, but is punishable. Waiting might be an option too. Uptilt and upsmash barely reach above the platform. Any other ideas?

    Alabama Thread! (10/26/2016 update)

i don't travel much atm because of life and being old, but that literally has zero bearing on the point i made. I'm not the one thinking I'm good lol i'd like to get good some time, but I know good and well it wont happen if the only tournaments i go to are hasl and bham brawl. i would say AL...

until people are willing/able to travel more than an hour and half to go to tournaments, there's no reason for anybody anywhere to even suggest a statewide power rankings list in any game. this state is casual as **** and yall need to stop pretendin like you aint lol

    Falco, the honest character

Not really. For Glory is completely different than live tournaments for a variety of reasons. 1. Some characters thrive in lag more than others. For example, some characters like Samus and Zelda do pretty well online because they can throw out moves that are not that safe and lag makes it harder...

Teach me the ways of the Falco

For glory is decent for practice imo, but once you get halfway competent at the game you'll find that 90% of the people online are no challenge for you whatsover, causing you to plateau. You won't be exposed to high level techniques so you won't know how to deal with them if you encounter it in...

Generally speaking as of now is Smash 4 or Melee more popular with the tournament scene

Smash 4 probably has more people playing and entering tournaments, but Melee is definitely taken more seriously as a serious esport by people within and outside of the community, and likely will stay that way just because the meta game is so developed and cracked open and no other game has a...

Meta SSB4 Falco Matchup Discussion 13 - Ganondorf - Coveted Winds

Falco destroys Ganon just like everybody else lol one of the few characters who is both slower and gets combo'd harder than Falco. Ganon is a gimmicky character, anad once you learn the gimmicks, his neutral becomes virtually non existent. Look out for the low cooldown of nair and upsmash, be...

Q&A Falco, King of the Birds: Game Play Discussion

Of those three, full dashing is probably the fastest. But using phantasm is faster still (obviously have no options during phantasm though). You're probably not going to be chasing people on the ground much, and you shouldn't being running much regardless. Falco's walk speed is almost as fast...
