Smash turning 20 today hits even harder when you weren't born back then...
The Sasuke arm choke gives me hope that 2019 will grace us with even more S tier memes.
Forget about Smash's 20th anniversary this year, there's something way more important that also turns 20 in 2019.
Spoiler: it starts with a D and ends in -K Rap.
It is when you start singing Lifelight in the shower that you fully realize that Smash Ultimate is finally here.

So... I just realized that today, Melee is 17 years old, Pokémon Gold and Silver are 19, OOT is 20, the OG DKC is 24, and the SNES, Super Mario World and F-Zero are 28.
Learning that Break Free from Odyssey will be in Ultimate just made my day better.
Setting Detective Pikachu's rendition of Mr. Mime as my avatar was just too tempting...

That World of Light trailer reminded all of us that we need a CGI-animated Smash show.
It still feels unreal that in a few short months, King K. Rool amiibos will be a concrete and tangible thing.
Mark my words: my money's on a Lycanroc reveal for tomorrow.
All my thoughts and sympathy to all of you over in Japan, I hope everyone's ok.
So there's a Direct tomorrow, apparently... I won't try predicting anything, experience shows that this is pointless when it comes to Nintendo.

Just watched the Smash direct... and I’ve got no words. K. Rool in Smash is a reality. I can die fulfilled now. Thank god I didn’t hear any spoilers...
While in Paris, I got a chance to play Smash Ultimate at Japan Expo, and two things:
1. IT’S AMAZING.
2. It’s definitely not a port. It feels very different from Smash 4 which I kinda suspected when I saw gameplay of SSBU, but it became even more obvious when I got hold of the game.
Invitational finished. Amazing. That game, as a solid middle-ground between Melee and Smash 4, definitely looks promising in every sense of the word.
Currently recovering from the truckload of Smash news. Too amazing to be true. Sakurai is an amazing man in the fullest way possible, and it would be ungrateful to not thank him a bazillion times for what he just showed us.
Only a few hours left. Our collective hype-sense can't tingle harder.
Only 2 days till we get Smash Switch gameplay. My hype-sense is tingling hard. -
