To add on to this, you can always practice 1v2s and SDing a few of your stocks away and still trying to beat your friends. It sounds silly and your friends may see it as disrespectful but it will keep you honest with only choosing good options and not doing dumb ****.

I run, press down b, reset stick to neutral, then up b towards the ledge. It has pretty lenient timing, you just gotta get a feel for it.

You can do whatever you want until someone elects to do a double blind. As soon as you ask for one, both people tell their game 1 characters to a neutral party without knowledge of who the other person picked.

Don't worry about shield dropping as a beginner. There's more important things to learn that are both easier and more useful. Jump, then laser twice. You have to be very fast so it may take a while to get the timing down. Not sure what you mean by this. Multishining is done by shining...
