Actually, from what I understand (I'm no Rogue pro either) Subtlety is mostly for PvP, while Assassination and/or Combat are mostly PvE. I heard that Mutilate spec is (or was) the best Rogue DPS spec. And Combat is just good for consistent white damage and energy regen and stuff.
Also, the rogue 51 point talents are amazing for every tree...except Assassination. It's essentially +5% damage, that you have to activate, which costs 15 energy and a global cooldown, and it requires a bleed effect to be on your target :/ lame talent.
We can discuss paladins easily, you don't need to tell me exactly what the spells do, lol. Except I thought Avenging Wrath was 30% damage, and no healing, they must have buffed+nerfed it. I have focused mostly on tanking with my Paladins, since Retribution was absolute trash for most of the time that I played, and healing bores the hell out of me. I love tanking. For me, it's much easier than DPSing or healing.
Anyway, my 70 Bloodelf Paladin had mostly tanking gear, but before I quit I had started collecting "DPS gear." Most of it is mail/leather lol, but I do have a Lionheart Champion (epic blacksmithing sword, rank 2 of 3) which was pretty good at the time but I'm sure if I quested on him it would quickly be replaced by quest greens T_T
But yeah I respecced Ret on him after I renewed my account about a month ago and I was amazed at how much Paladins have changed, mostly for the better.
Exorcism works on everything?
Specific Judgments, rather than just the seal you're currently using? (I still haven't gotten used to that.... but there are judgements of light, wisdom, crusader, and ... justice, right?)
30 minute seals?
Talents and spells that mean I pretty much don't run out of mana? I fought some of the early mobs in northrend, and not only was I critting for more than ever, but I could spam spells and hardly lose mana....
"Hand" of freedom, protection, salvation, sacrifice, rather than Blessings?
It's MADNESS.
