I like Fox as a character and he basically fits my playstyle a lot, I like characters that can use dash attack to punish like Fox and MK

In my opinion Fox wins, but the match up needs to be played very defensively, you need to shield a lot to avoid the pin, it comes out very fast so you need to be ready for it and if they pin to the ground we can punish 80% of the time, Fox's speed makes it really easy to punish, abuse the fair...

In my personal opinion the fair spike is the equivalent to a shine spike in this game, you can only do it when people recover low and it can literally kill people at 0% and it can trade with some recoveries to spike without dragging you down. I feel like a lot of Fox players don't use it enough.

What do you think changed in Fox this patch? I honestly feel no changes.

Nice point of view, also if you feel good with that secondary then **** it keep using him, look at Larry, do you think DK covers Shiek well? Hell no dude but he feels confident while using the kong! And that works out great for him.

Do you mean Samus as a secondary or are you looking for someone to counterpick Samus? Because if it's the second one then there is no need because Fox wins that matchup

The thing is Meta Knight doesn't rely on the kill combo a 100% he can dash forward throw at kill percent to shuttle loop, a grab can also be used to keep racking damage until you can kill with back throw or up throw, you just need to learn how to deal with shield. Yeah Fox struggles against shield but I honestly don't think it's a reason to get a secondary, just learn to deal with shield as Fox, at higher percents up throw to try to get an up air or forward throw to get into an edgeguard situation, either by using ledge trump to bair, f smash on the edge...

I play this match up a lot with my brother and I was frustrated that I couldn't gimp his up b with a bair to stage spike so I tried doing a fast fall fair to trade with the up b and it works wonders! In the trade Fox's fair semi spikes or if not you just get sent upwards, it's really worth...

In my opinion the best character for secondaries for Fox are either Meta Knight or Sheik, they cover pretty much all his bad match-ups, specially Meta Knight giving Kirby and Rosaluma a really hard time.
