Hmm...keep practicing. Maybe you just got a bad match-up. Enter more tourneys. Experience is everything. Find some good secondaries to cover Olimar's bad match-ups like peach. Look for a good CP that will prevent him from getting gimped.

And I've also considered using Olimar as well, but Idk yet. Wouldn't Norfair be a good CP to help aid his recovery because of all the ledges?
