Oh this kind of thing is intentional. When activating a Monado Art Shulk is invincible during the second that he starts posing if you don't move. Considering how that Shulk did it, I assume he got lucky and didn't mean for that to happen. Well the more you know o7.

My first tournament was actually Super Smash Con as well. Advanced out of my pool through losers then got trumped by a Sheik 2-0 in the first round of pools 2. I used Shulk the entire time and only switched to Falcon twice.
