This happened to me on netplay about a month ago mid-match. My opponent and I both kinda freaked out after the match. Neither of us had seen it before.

It's just the CPU's AI. People have been hypothesizing about how Amiibo AI really works, and it's considered right now that a level 50 Amiibo is just using a lvl 9 CPU's AI. I was watching a stream with Chillin, Azen, and Mango a week or two ago. Azen is ridiculously good at both Melee and PM. He has adapted very well. He was schooling Chillin and Mango both. Edited because I said "Azen schooled Azen".
