Take Number 5 - the singing Pokemon takes stage! Jigglypuff Discussion

I actually think Puff is a solid mid-tier in this game. I feel like Puff can beat anyone with enough patience and practice.

    Jiggs Combos

I just learned rising pound is safe at early percentage. This is because Jigglypuff rises higher and is able to do a follow up faster than the opponent can get out of it.

Beginners Guide - How to Edgeguard as Jigglypuff

Hey Puffballs. I haven't really written any guides before so bare with me, but I wanted to give advice on how to use what is arguebly Jigglypuff's greatest tool in Smash Ultimate - Edge Guarding. Edge Guarding in general is incredibly strong in Smash Bros Ultimate in comparison to Smash 4...

    Jiggs Combos

At low percent Jigglypuff can fair the enemy on the ground and immediately grab them. Also upair and uptilts are good combo starters at low percent. Upair and uptilt can combo into more upairs, dairs, or fairs. Pound can also combo into things, but sometimes the opponent can get out of it...

Take Number 5 - the singing Pokemon takes stage! Jigglypuff Discussion

Hey Puffballs. I've been slowly getting better at the Sword match up as Puff. I am no means a master at it yet. But here is a video of be beating a very good Wolf & Lucina in tournament using just Jigglypuff. Its possible! I also finally beat every Chrom in my state in tournament as Jigglypuff.

Need Help Combo-Ing into Rests :/

Uair to rest is Jigglypuff's most consistent rest combo that will kill every opponent. To pull this off: 1. Do a falling upair while landing 2. Jump into the opponent 3. Rest This combo is true on 100% of the cast. The timing of the upair needs to be hit right before Puff hits the ground...

    Troubled matchups

Jigglypuff should absolutely destroy Little Mac in Ultimate. All Puff needs to do is get Little Mac off stage and nair/fair him a few times and he is dead. Little Mac loses his side b if he gets hit out of it trying to recover. Little Mac also has the worst air dodge in the game as he has the...

I would like to secondary jigglypuff in ssbu and want tips on rest combos and other gameplay tips

Uair to rest is the most consistent rest set up. Works about mid percentage on every character.

Take Number 5 - the singing Pokemon takes stage! Jigglypuff Discussion

I wanted to share a picture my friend Drake drew in regards to Ike's side B. Ike's will always try to side b above or to ledge. So basically if Jigglypuff Gimps and puts Ike in a low position as shown in the picture, then Ike is pretty dead.

If you think about it, Melee Bair is Ultimate Fair. I use Fair all the time to wall of pain people in tournament. In fact, I got a clips for you below of me doing the wall of pain to death using fair:

I know your pain. Fighting swordies as Puff isn't always the most fun, especially Cloud. GIMPING Cloud and killing him at 50% is hella fun though. Also RDR7, one of the best Puff Players, consistently wins the Cloud match up. Just takes experience I guess :-)

Take Number 5 - the singing Pokemon takes stage! Jigglypuff Discussion

In the Puff vs Swordies (Like Ike) match up, Puff needs the following strategies to win: 1. Play patient, space well, mix up movement, fadeback aerials, bait out the swordies aerials and attacks, wait for an opening. 2. Once Puff gets in and puts the swordy in a disadvantage state, go in hard...

    Any Tips for Landing Sing?

I'm surprised nobody mentioned Jab Lock Sing, probably Puff's best set up for Sing. So while attacking with Puff, certain moves can cause opponents to tumble and hit the ground. If the opponent misses the tech on the ground, then puff can run up to them and jab lock them using jab 1, jab 1...

How do I approach with this character?

Thats a great strategy I'm going to try this out myself.

You have to read where your opponent is going to end up to use the bair to kill. Its a little easier now thanks to the 2 frame speed buff.
