Since you happened to mention something about flow bit and it being present in jabs, does that mean that if for example: Sonic were to connect with an entire 1-2-3 jab combo, that it will register as 1 tally or three different tallies per jab? I'm speaking as if Sonic was just holding the attack button down and letting the punches/kick flow into one another on their own.
What about for a rapid jab? Let's say that Meta Knight does his jab, hits once, then the opponent gets hit by it again after some time passes. Would it only register as one tally until Meta Knight does something else or will it tally up if an opponent runs into his jab again before he ends it? Perhaps I have it entirely wrong and Meta Knight's jab refreshes the rest of his moveset with every jab hit that connects during that time?
